Same hammers as Mac Tools, for 1/3 the price
Is my goto in my shop for general beating and whacking of things. I have more expensive Snap On hammers, but to keep them looking nice when I want to hit things that are dirty, or less dignified lol

16oz Hammer
This is a fantastic buy with excellent build quality. The fit and finish looks just like the photos and you can expect the hammer to last you many, many years being a one-piece steel design. The hammer is balanced very well and does offer a level of vibration reduction, just not as much as wood. The ball end on my unit did come with a large flat spot so if you're buying this for metal work, you'll likely have some finishing work to do on your new hammer. It's also coated in a lacquer of some kind as most hammers are these days, to prevent corrosion. It's a beautiful hammer, not the cheapest you could buy but it's certainly worth the current cost of $27-34. It's the exact hammer that MAC tools rebrands and sells for three times more money. Proto also makes USA tools if anyone is interested in very high quality.

Another superb Proto tool!
I was wanting a medium weight ball pein hammer and wasn’t aware that Proto made them. After reading the description stating these were “no vibration” versions, I decided to order. The price was slightly more than I wanted to spend but after using it on about 4 repair jobs already I can tell you that this hammer is worth the money.
