Easy & Turns on When Temps Drop
I purchased a few of these and ended up returning all but this one. The length between the outlet connection and the actual heating thermostat device are what’s key with this item. All other cords don’t offer enough length between the plug in where the unit goes into an outlet and the actual pipe where the thermostat sits! This one does it! Since you can’t add an extension cord - the extra length is important. The unit only gets warm when the pipe is cold enough! Works great!

Works well even on wells.
With the incandescent light bulbs being fazed out, keeping the pipe in the well house from freezing is an issue and a bulb generates enough heat to keep the pipes from freezing, an LED bulb won't do this, so I wrapped the well house pipe with the heat tape and this will keep me from having frozen pipes when we get into the single digits.

Gets plenty warm
Good construction and gets plenty warm. I did not read the description well, I bought it based on the ad picture. My mistake but I thought the heating element was longer. I interpreted the length from the picture which includes the lead cord as well as the heating element. I should have bought the longer one.

Easy to use and perfect for home use
This works great just make sure to have a decent air compressor to keep steady pressure for consistent stripping.

Great Product tested it out and it was working upon installation.
Looks like a good well built inexpensive product. I will check the energy usage over the next two months and see how they are I will update review accordingly.It looked so good i bought two more to use on exposed pipes.

Efficace pour l'instant l'eau n'a pas gelée.
Très efficace pour le prix par contre je tiens à préciser que si vous voulez installer ceci sur une tuyauterie en plastique en carlon ou en pex, vous allez devoir enrouler tout d'abord votre tuyau d'un papier aluminium.
