Great quality and value
We have had this unit for about 6 months and it's worked very very well. My wife and I use it for our projects and we have no issues with it whatsoever. We do clean it after we're finished with the project we do keep up the maintenance which is mostly just cleaning and not letting things soil and get dry. Not sure how you could have any problems with this unit if you maintain it.

Nice Little Machine...
Just tried my grinder out for the 1st time, and I must say, it does what it's supposed to do, without any hesitation. I'm going to get years and years of work out of this machine, I can already see that, and you cannot beat that it comes with a 5 year warranty. I bought the grinder that a marketplace seller had up here for less than the other storefronts, but it is still in new condition (even though it was made in 2001, lol), and it still does the job. Thanks to Tricia Devine for selling it for a reasonable price. I also like the fact that it is easy to maintain & clean, and I can see getting another bit for doing fine corners and maybe even some drilling. Also, the unit is well designed as the water and grit residue from grinding never comes in contact with any moving parts. The only design change I can see making would be putting the drain hole right in the corner. It is located under the work area shelf, about 3/4" at a 45 degree angle inside from the upper left corner, facing the machine. Cleaning is still easy, but having this hole in the actual corner, you'd be able to lift the machine slightly and the water and mess would go in the hole without pooling up at all. Something for the Gryphon people to think about, if they haven't already done so on another model machine. Otherwise, an excellent purchase, and investment.

expect it to last for years
Wanted to use it for a while before writing a review. Still like it a great deal. My last one lasted for many years and expect this one to do the same. Hardest part is just getting the sponge in just the right space to allow the water to keep the glass wet while using it.

It grinds glass
Works well, for the price it could have definitely had at least an extra smaller grinding wheel. Very simple and can fit pretty much anywhere.

Great
This is a very good grinder. I have already used it for three hours continually and had no problem. Highly recommend. The instructions are pretty bad, but it was easy to figure out.

Great upgrade
This was an upgrade for me from a grinder made in the 80's. It has a powerful motor, which results in a smooth grind with very little throw back or splashing. The water cup satyes filled for about an hour. For me the drain tube works well because I use the grinder in a laundry sink. But if you intend to use this on a table top you will want it sitting in a pan or something similar for it to drain into.

Found a better option. This is good for beginners
I found a much better solution with a different brand and did not use this- opened it, looked at it, realized there was a better option-simply returned it. The other solution had interchangeable bits included and the ergonomics seemed better. This looked like a goid value- the other option was more expensive. This was one of those situations where paying more would make the project go better and easier so I went for it. Size was compact. Looked well built. Good name brand. Function unknown since I did not use it

Works well!
For my hobby needs, this glass grinder works pretty good. My requirements, the grinder needs to have additional lighting to see areas I am grinding more clearly, so I added a small clip on led light.

Great grinder, terrible sponge/cooling tower system or bad bit.
This is probably one of the best grinders I've used in classes which is why I purchased this for my home studio. I used it for a 22"x30" lead came project. I usually spend a max of 4 minutes per piece (as lead came is very forgiving to work with). However, even with grinder coolant, the head has already lost a significant amount of it's functionality, I set it up right according to the picture, maybe I'm wrong. I've already burned through both sponges and yes I dampened them in the water/coolant mixture in the tower. I don't know if the grinder head is bad or something else is the problem. I use many grinders and bench grinders as a plumber gas fitter, so I know when the bit is worn down. I'm just super dissapointed the longevity, the head only seemed to last for knee project, but I bought this one thinking it would be an excellent upgrade to what I had originally, the wizling version. I mixed a 50% distilled water with 50% grinding coolant in the tower, the sponge is wet. But now I don't think this is going to be useful for another project. I only received this a couple days ago and am super dissapointed with the quality. The sponge in the picture is of one I cut from a big sponge provided to me by a local supplier. The 2 that came with it were completely unusable. If this is set up wrong, please let me know but after only 47 pieces and using grinder coolant 50-50 with water in the tower, I believe the grinder should work for a significant amount more pieces than what I got. The maker needs to provide better quality sponges and diamond bits or the ones I received are defective. Like I said earlier, the grinder was perfect for my project, but it shouldn't just last for only one project! It's not like I'm forcing the glass into the grinder, I let the tool do the work and feather it. I only put the glass to the grinder bit once the grinder is at full speed. Idk if I'm doing something wrong or not.

Funcional y practico

The product is 110V,
Before buying the product I made sure to check if it is 220V or 110V, Amazon.ae hide this info and never mentioned that the product comes only on 110V. They want you to assume like I did, that the product is 220V as long as it is shipped to the UAE.
