Great addition to the spice rack for select Japanese cuisine

I used a small spice bottle of this to can Asian Chicken. I love the heat it gave to my stir-fry when a made a dish with my Asian Chicken. I want to can more and so that is why I bought the large container now.

All of the local grocery stores where this was sold at no longer carry this for some reason so now I have to buy it on Amazon. This is ok as this is a much larger portion for almost the same price as the small bottle I used to buy at the store. This 7 spice goes great on just about anything. Highly recommend.

This is a good product; however, it may not be for everyone because it is spicy. Just using appropriate amount to add to certain dishes.

I bought this to pair with Franks RedHot Stinging Honey Garlic sauce as shown in the product description. It works fantastically well with that honey garlic sauce (minimal heat). I have used it to coat shrimp and chicken so far. After breading, baking, I toss the food with the sauce then top off with a spinkle of this seasoning. I have yet to make the "Asian inspired dipping sauce" but I imagine it will be very good.It will be one of my go-to seasonings for ramen bowls and such. I already plan to use in on salmon. Endless possibilities.A pricey spice blend. I rarely see it in stores, and usually smaller amounts are fantastically expensive. Since I use spices all the time, I usually go for the larger size when I can. Glad I did that here.Someone mentions nutmeg. There is NO nutmeg in this. Unless formula had/has changedINGREDIENTS for Japanese Seven Spice, in order, according to MY bottle (purchased 09/2023 from warehouse):--Red Pepper--Orange Peel--Black Sesame Seed AND white Sesame Seed--Szechuan Pepper--Nori (seaweed) flakes--Ginger--Chili Pepper AND Ancho Chili PepperIngredients according to product page: Spices (Including Red Pepper, Sichuan Pepper, Ginger), White and Black Sesame Seed, Orange Peel, and Nori Flakes (Seaweed). Similar, but not listed in same order, and mine has additional peppers.

Do you like spicy ice cream?….That’s weird. If you do you might like this. So far it works with a lot of things but I’m not trying that. Flavorful with a slight bite.

Great product, use with any food

I’ve always liked spicy food and really like this blend that has become my go to for stir fry recipes. It is not over powering but it can be if used to heavily. I have titrated my use to about 1-2 teaspoons for an average 8” sauce pan stir fry. I will definitely repurchase when necessary. Enjoy!
