For All The Stepford Wives out there
Unfortunately, there is no preview for this book. For, if a potential buyer could preview the intro/preface, one could see the author's pitiful request for forgiveness right at the beginning. You see, this is not a real translation Rav Noson's Likutey Tefilot. Au contraire, it's a fabricated bunch of pitiful ramblings of words fit for a child to pray. Being that I am neither a child nor a Stepford Wife, and since I can read Hebrew enough to Know that this is a Bogus Fake translation, I found this book to be highly offensive. I kept it for about a month and would occassionally pick it up and try to reconcile the English with the Hebrew, but I found myself disgusted and offended by the childish English words, which was quite the opposite from the author's intent, I do believe. Therefore, I threw the fricking book into the garbage can so that it would not offend me anymore. And so, if you are one of the Stepford Wives, you might find it quite lovely.

A game changer!
This is the book I have been praying for! Each prayer says the words that my soul has been searching to express. Thank you for helping find the opening to a conversation with G-d. And hopefully it will bring me to a real and authentic relationship with Hashem and all of Klal Yisrael.

The English translation is not accurate, although the words are lovely. Don't buy if you have no Hebrew skills, you'll be missing a big chunk of the beauty of this book

Small, Simple, Powerful, Comforting
The first lovely thing about this small book is picking it up and the feel of it in your hands. Every element, every aspect is beautiful from the dust jacket to the bordeaux color on the edges of the pages. Then, to open the book and read the prayers is where your heart, mind, and soul will be moved. Each page is a different prayer. Some are short, one sentence prayers. Some as longer. But don't let the simplicity make you think they are not meaningful. The depth of thought and heart on each page will bring the reader comfort and connection. One side of the page has the prayer in English and on the opposite page, the prayer is in Hebrew text.If you have been around the prayer and Torah thought for a while it will not be a hard book to use. If you are new to a Torah walk, there are concepts that may be different than what popular western thought sells about spirituality. Please don't let the language put you off. Trust that the depth of meaning in the original words will nourish your soul. For example, the word repent in English can sound like a negative thing. The Hebrew word "tshuva" can also be translated as "return". As in return to the truth of your soul. These prayers are a lovely tool to use. Here are the categories of prayer offered by section in the book:Living Every Day (e.g. Friends,Money, Journeys)Life's Sages (e.g. Weddings, Birth)Self Growth (e.g. Simplicity, Letting Go)Emotions (e.g. Love, Longing, Fear)Thought and Speech (e.g. Doubts, Truth, Focus)Seasons in Time (Jewish holidays)Relating to God (e.g. God's Presence, Faith, Obstacles)Experiencing God (e.g. Prayer, Speaking to God)These prayers are from the pen of Rav Noson who "...was the closest disciple and foremost interpreter of the teachings of the Chassidic master Rebbe Nachman of Breslov (1772-1810), great -grandson of the Baal Shem Tov." The introductions were written by Rebbitzin Tziporah Heller and Sara Yoheved Riglar, two of the most inspiring and popular English speaking women Torah teachers of our generation. This is a book I will keep nearby. It's not always so easy to find the right words."Dear God, give me strength to pray to You. Let me never give up calling out to You or believing in the power of prayer." (page 352)

Passionate Prayers for Busy Women
This lovely collection of prayers for women, is excerpted from Likutei Tefillos. These prayers were compiled by Reb Noson, Rebbe Nachman's leading follower, who was charged with turning the Rebbe's teachings into prayers. Many Breslovers and others use the prayers in Likutei Tefillos to "jump-start" their own hisbodedus (meditative, personal prayer sessions in which the individual speaks to G-d as one would speak to one's best friend, closest parent, and trusted counselor). But many people, both men and women, don't have the time to familiarize themselves with all the gems in Likutei Tefillos--it contains hundreds of prayers on probably over a thousand topics. Also, women have spiritual needs which can be different from those of men. Between Me and You offers a practical answer to this dilemma. There prayers have been sensitively translated (not verbatim, but with a real feel for the poetry and meaning of the original). The inspirational selections include: My Path in Life; Friends; Remembering; Children; Simplicity; Letting Go of Ego; Longing; Trust; Doubts; Focus; Obstacles; and many more, including Prayer, itself.Read a prayer from Between You and Me out loud, meditate on it, read it again, or find another, and allow this to flow into your prayerful, spoken meditation. The free-flowing translations are really in keeping with the spirit of Rebbe Nachman's insights and directives: Prayer, especially hisbodedus, is the key to coming close to Hashem. By talking to Hashem, by combining the prayers that spring directly from Rebbe Nachman's teachings with our own, heartfelt, spoken words, we become more and more aware of how close we actually are to Hashem, how dear we are to Him, and how our relationship with Him is the deepest source of our path to spiritual actualization. The book itself is beautifully bound, and will probably last a lifetime.

Absolutely love it - deep meaningful and a joy to use.
This does not pretend to be a direct translation of the Hebrew, but rather a very beautiful, and deep loose translation. It captures the heart and makes praying in English so much more meaningful for me. I love how every emotion is covered and being a woman I can swap several emotions in one day! I am so happy there is now a kindle version because although I prefer a real book in my hands, I never travel without this book and I am not the lightest of travelers:)
