A nearly excellent SD freeview recorder.
This is a very good standard definition freeview recorder, and it can transfer recordings to PC via usb which is more than can be said for the newer Humax HD YouView box that i've got.Another thing this does that the newer one doesn't is to let you switch really fast from one channel to another using the 'back' button on the remote, this made it possible to watch telly without having to endure all the adverts, most of the time, also this one connects to my old telly no bother using SCART-SCART cable but the new box doesn't.This only has a relatively small HDD but it's no problem if you can save stuff you want keeping.Only 4 stars because the receiver needs a signal booster to get any channels, my little basic bush freeview box didn't need any such help so neither should this one really but it does have twin tuners so i dunno if i'm being unfair there or not. Still, deffo recommended if you only need SD reception, might need a booster though.

Malfunctioning clock
Unfortunately this unit had the same problem that my existing Humax had in that the standby clock had malfunctioned and therefore it wouldn't record on standby, so returned it for full refund.

Disappointing, but thank you vendor
This was a disappointment, as I had had good results from Humax before. The buttons on the remote control were incredibly stiff and pretty well unusable. The box took signal to the extent that some channels could not be played using the TV's tuner. The picture on the Humax tuner was poor quality. The good news was that the vendor refunded us immediately without fuss.

Bang average
Bang average. Bought as a basic box for my 83yr old grandmother. Deletes recordings randomly and sometimes makes a funny noise. Suppose I got what I paid for.

Humax PVR9200T is a Cracker
I've never been inspired to write a review on anything before, but this thing has just got to praised! Two channels to view and record simultaneously; if you're lucky you can record two channels and watch another. Easy-peasy operation. It is a real beaut!Just hit the pause button while you're watching something to get a break or a sandwich or a .. whatever - and then carry on from watching where you stopped it when you get back. It's quiet; only in a silent room will you hear it, and then only when its recording.I've had it two weeks and I'm so very impressed. No so much as a hiccough, it has behaved impeccably. I've got used to hangups from other digital box type receivers - not so from the Hummy.Upload of new software via a PC - no problem.Download of recorded stuff to burn on a DVD needs a just a bit of technical know-how - not a lot. Google "Andy Chappell humax" for a better replacement downloader than the E-Linker software supplied. Checkout VideoRedo for some software to trim out the adverts and start/end bits. look for Forums talking about the 9200T - everybody loves it!You will not regret buying this lovely piece of kit.

Good product - poor delivery. Item supplier provided inaccurate delivery status information
I purchased the item as a simple to use and bulletproof terrestrial broadcast recording device was needed. The PVR9200T is not feature rich but it is very easy to use and diagnose faults with. The supplier "PC Gamer" indicated that the item had been delivered. I had to get into dispute with them through Amazon and interestingly the item was found not to have been delivered and was delivered 72 hours after the dispute started; at no time did the seller acknowledge receipt or communicate with me. In summary, the product is fine but be careful of third part suppliers.

Great when working properly
Prone to problems; such as locking up and and corruption on the hard drive. I have had two of these and they both suffered from the same problem. Great when working properly. Fox T2 seems to have overcome most of these problems.
