Gourmet Duck Foie Gras Mousse with 2% Truffles 11.2oz

We absolutely love this!!! ! Even though this is duck foie gras, not goose, to us, this product looks, but more importantly, tastes, just as we remember the authentic Strasbourg foie gras served years ago on the old French Line oceanliner. (To us, the only difference is that this is in a round shape rather than the trapezoid shape that theirs was.) It even has the same truffle in the middle! No need to hunt for Strasbourg foie gras any more. This will do just fine!!! Thank you so, so much, Rougie! (You probably already know this but just in case:) Tip 1: It arrives unrefrigerated, of course, but it should be refrigerated for a little bit before serving, or it will come out a little oily right out of the can . It still tastes just wonderful either way! Tip 2: Open BOTH ends and gently push it through to the plate in order to keep its shape, perfectly, (We are ordering more as soon as I finish typing!!! Y u m!)

The taste is too strong but it worth trying for truffles lovers

Said it was from France and it was from Canada. Totally misleading. Beware this product is not as advertised.

I am French and believe me this is EXQUISITE !!!! And to all the negative comments, you must remember that it is DUCK foie gras, not Goose. So it will be slightly different in taste. Still divine. And by the way, it is good for you: the iron and other nutrients make it a super food to enjoy on occasion.

I expected more, I have had others from other companies that was one third the price, that tasted much better.

Its more like a flavored butter, questionable taste (I didn't like it), definitely not worth the money. Expected much more.

Not a liver fan but my son requested foie gras. This is super smooth and creamy. I scooped it into a pastry bag and filled paté choux as an appetizer. It was very mild tasting - the truffle was the perfect touch.

The product is OK, but not great. It's a lot of product, and good for a decent sized party or dinner, but the actual taste is only fair. I did not get a strong "Foie Gras" taste, nor did the truffles have a strong "truffle" taste. Probably wouldn't buy again, and while I didn't hate it, the taste was just not what I've had in the past.
