Great mashbox, marketing could be better
I love the sound and feel of the mashbox, especially the side with the Kandu sun emblem. It’s not quite cajon or bongo sound, it sounds really unique and warm. The other side also has many tonal potentials that could be explored. I think the Kandu company has a great product I also bought the Ktak, which is the best portable cajon hands down, but If I had to choose one I’d pick the mashbox. It’s so versatile and can be struck on corners for quick snappy shaker sounds. The biggest issue is the marketing, I’m all the marketing material the mashbox and ktak are strapped to the performers abdomen, coming from a Latin American/American background it feels awkward from my musical experience to hit a drum strapped to my torso, that being said I strap the mashbox to my thigh while seated and found this setup more comfortable and natural feeling when drumming. Volume is surprisingly loud for how small the mashbox is. Tons of fun, haven’t put it down since I got it.

Wonderful.
I absolutely love this little box drum. It's great for camping trips or just taking to a park. The sound is pretty good compared to the size. The belt strap isn't very durable though. I've used mine for only one season and the elastic is freighing already. Other than that it's a realativly inexpensive high quality little drum to have some fun with. I would love to get one of the larger octagon ones in the future as I am sure it probably sounds even better.

Love this little box!
Good sound, nice to tap a rhythm out on while my friend plays her ukulele. Wish it had a snare spring inside but beads are nice & it is well made. It is great for playing with quieter instruments but if playing w louder instruments you probably want to add a passive pickup to it. This is not a criticism, after all, it is only a small box & not meant to replace a full sized cajon.

excellent and portable
I bought this for my partner and he loves it. It's much better for small spaces than a standard cajon, and is honestly better for ergonomics I think. He straps it to his chest and walks around the house playing. Excellent build quality, looks nice on a music shelf.

Great for the music lover
Love this little mash box for worshiping, jamming out and great anxiety relief when you want to relax. Can’t wait to try the next size up. Great gift for anyone who loves music and can keep a beat. Hangs in our home and we both use periodically. Nice aesthetics, multiple colors , has two sides two sounds and a maraca sounding shaker. Nice all around and made in Israel. Highly recommended.

the drum you didn't know you needed
this is the drum for obsessive table tappers and beatboxers like me. wear it on you all day long and tap on it when the mood besots you. it's sturdy with a nice punchy slap tone and a more than adequate shaker bass. I was delivered the wrong color but I'm not complaining because I actually like the orange. this is a good drum to take with you anywhere you feel like you'll need to tap out some beats. highly recommend this in addition to it's big brother the ktak from the same company.

The product is really true shaker.
It's not like a mini cajon but more like a solid sound shaker. It's a practical percussion you can take along during a jam session.
