Chapin 139-1046 48 Oz. Polyethylene Sprayer

I bought this to spray oxygen bleach on the stucco walls of my house. It worked great. The bleach was made by dissolving powder in water. I had no problem of nozzle plugging. The sprayer was easy to pump and spray. It sprayed a nice mist that I was able to control. I did have a couple problems. One was that when I saw a small plastic tab in the trigger mechanism it looked like a piece of packing material that had to be removed before use. It wasn't; it was what makes the trigger work. I pulled it out and it couldn't work without it. I tried to replace it and cracked it in two. I called the company and they sent me a replacement for free. I struggled a lot and couldn't get it in place, so I called again and they gave me a secret tip for how to install it. The pump sprayer then worked well. I still think the design could be better because that little piece of plastic can easily get knocked off or pulled out as I diid and it was a real pain getting a replacement and putting it back in. Another problem I had was that when I was working on the roof I couldn't set it down. Eventually it slipped off the roof and hit the driveway and the spray head shattered. The bottle is tough but the plastic spray head is hard and will shatter. Not that anyone is going to toss it off the roof onto the pavement, but just keep in mind that it's not bulletproof. Overall, I'm pleased with it. Glad to have the brass nozzle and to know I can use just about anything in it.

It arrived without product packaging or directions other than what is printed on the bottle (which are difficult to discern). Two pieces were loose inside the bottle, a black tip and a little white piece. No idea what was different between the copper tip and the black tip, and no idea at all what the little white piece was. It did not work. Since it came without any product packaging I wondered right away if this was a defective unit that had been returned. Maybe they all come that way?

It doesn’t get any better. I use a lot of different squirt bottles with dogs and a machine shop I spend a tiring amount of time cleaning this is such a sweet bottle it sprays a super fine mist, like none I’ve ever seen. It’s great and it adjusts to a stream that shoots a mile. I might not ever buy the trigger pump type squirt bottle again. These come in different sizes. It seems, no matter how much you spend on a normal squirt bottle they all quit working pretty soon anyway. I’ve had these around, same brand, identical to what I’m reviewing I’ve had them around for way more than 10 years with chemicals in them and they just never quit

I have cleaned windows for 9 years and these hold my water and dawn dishwashing solution. I spray it on the windows and the product just works. It has never blown a seal and lost pump pressure. I dropped one one time and the tip broke off. It was rendered useless after that but it’s not the products fault. I will buy these for as long as I have my business cleaning windows.
