Built to be LIghtweight so Durability May Be Problem
Arrived with visibly damaged box and the central reel assemble made a squeaking sound when turned, immediately after removal from the box and prior to any assembly. Took about a month working with the Company's customer service department, which was not always timely in their responses, but finally received a refund. Purchased a "Gorilla" reel which is well built, strong and easy to move throughout the backyard.

So far, so good. Time will tell
Good news is that this is far more rugged and of a higher quality than nearly every similar Hose Reel out there. If you're sick of throwing away money on plastic garbage every year, and tired of broken plastic connections this will be a huge improvement. Also, it seems better than most of the competition's metal hose reels; the powder coat paint finish is much better than the competition. The brass fittings are solid. Even the outer short hose that goes to your outer faucet is better grade than most hose-mobiles, with good, effective washers. One concern is that I suggest you put this together VERY VERY carefully, and slowly, because the hose-crank handle has 2 soft brass fittings which accept two screws. If you don't thread them VERY slowly they will strip immediately. I was only able to secure the first, but the second screw stripped and did not hold. So far it is holding, but I may need to order a replacement. Hopefully you will not make that mistake, or better yet, the manufacturer will re-design that screw fitting assembly. Some will like the turning ability, though I would prefer Yard Butlers other model with four stationary same-size wheels (the model without the turning wheels...) You have to lock them in place with a block when in storage, or the wheels tend to turn by themselves. In general, better-than-average

OK but not great.
I have the cart and multiple free standing reels from Yard Butler. The card is well made with a few exceptions. The foam handle grip came split which now has fallen off. Also, it would be nice if the handle stowed up beyond the center point of upright. This means it could rest on the reel. The handle tends to fall forward away from the reel so you tend to park it next to something that it can rest upon. The cart is otherwise well made similar to the upright reel. A bit pricey but so far the best I've used.

Not as Large as claimed
This Cart was to be able to hold 400ft. I was lucky to get 200ft. My hose did meet the size requirements, but there is no way it can hold 400ft. Also when unreeling the hose, it comes off the cart and gets tangled. It was so bad that I spent more than one hour untangling the hose.

The product came with missing parts, just thrown into the box haphazardly. I returned the first one of these that I purchased and have been meaning to return the replacement but I've been working so much, I'm past the deadline. $132 completely wasted. I'll put it on the curb for the next trash pickup.

Well made hose reel
This hose reel seems well made.It was easy to put together.(took about 15m, with Phillips screwdriver, mallet and a couple of 15/16 socket wrenches)Though the little metal axle caps, provided to keep the front wheels from coming off , are kind of difficult to hammer in place. Better hold the caps with a pair of pliers, if you value your fingers. The front wheels are smaller, solid core and not impressive. Kind you might find on a toy wagon. But, Other than that, it's a great choice , holds 200 ft of 5/8 hose with room to spare, and feels like it will last awhile.I can compare it to a similar Chinese model I got 2 yrs ago. This one is much easier to construct.Appears to be better quality.Winds hose up better & doesn't squeak when you turn the crank. The ch. model does have 4 inflated ,wide , lugged wheels, better for moving over rough or wet ground. They were about the same price.

Poor design
Poor design. Difficult to reel in hose because unit is not stable. Front wheel assembly is held in by weight of cart and comes off if you lift unit or travel over bumpy terrain. Some parts are for rusting after a few months of use.
