Is the grip part ribbed as it shows in the picture? (the wavy lines in the purple part by the clicker button).

No, the rubber tip is smooth as is the clicker. I think the wavy lines are a distortion causes by the enlarging of the photo. I have used these clicker pencils for many, many years! And will be devastated if they are ever discontinued.

Are the barrels actually purple like in the photo?

Yes. I ordered the blue pencils, which look just like the blue ones in the photos. So I’m sure the purple ones look like they do in the photos.
