This unit worked properly
I purchased a boat last year and didn't know that the remote was not operational at the time of the survey. The volume control worked occasionally. The issue was traced to a defective harness, one of two used in the boat. I was not able to properly connect the old remote unit with the new harness. I replaced the the old remote with the new unit and the system now works as designed. The money spent on the new remote and harness was well spent. I am very happy now.

not my best purchase
I bought this to match up with the Jensen radio I purchased for my boat. After installing all looked good. Then after about the 4th or 5th time I took the boat out and turned the radio on, no display. The other functions seem to hold up so fare but cannot figure out why the display is blank. Ya get what ya pay for I guess.

Jensen product catches fire
The new stereo this was attached to caught fire in the cabin of my boat. This could have killed everyone aboard. I strongly discourage anyone from buying a Jensen product.

EASY
Right where I needed it. Do not have to open glove box on boat to adjust stereo. This is at my fingertips by drivers console. This was put in a boat.

Works fine, easy to install
Works fine, easy to install. HOWEVER, the chrome plating on the plastic bezel around the unit deteriorated over the winter, flaked off, and left a green verdigris mess on the side of the tub.

Buyer Beware.
While searching for a replacement radio for our South Bay pontoon, I noticed these reviews for the mwr 100. I've had boats for 42 years and never had a radio so sorely lacking in features, reception and quality. We are off the beaten path, I'll admit; but our Rinker's radio received signals beautifully with no issues. Can't recall the brand in the Rinker, but it was not an mwr 100.Had to trash products unless it's deserved and in this case, it is. There is no way to set the pre-sets, the info switch does not function, the antenna is worthless...I attached a 25 section of wire to the antenna lead and walked all around the boat. There was VERY little improvement in our reception. I'm looking for a better version. I'd suggest you do the same.
