Lots of great Bourbon Recipes. My husband loved this as a gift!

After a friend mixed some drinks for us out of this book I had to have my own copy. We drink a fair amount of bourbon, so this is super fun to find new, easy and tasty ways to enjoy it. Most of the ingredients aren't super hard to come by, which is nice, too. If you like bourbon and cocktails, this book is for you.

I got this as a stocking stuffer for my husband and forgot to give it to him. He found it in my gift hiding spot and was super excited to receive it from me. But christmas came and went and he never got it. He did not realize that I forgot about it. He thought maybe that I had gotten it for someone else. So he would sneak into the gift hiding spot and steal recipes from it and would not tell me where he learned such a yummy bourbon recipe from. After six months on Father's day, he could not take it any more. "Who is the bourbon cocktail recipe book for?!!" I did not know what he was talking about so he went and grabbed it. I had totally forgotten about it, forgot to give it to him and he still managed to use it and enjoy it.

This is a great book, but some of the ingredients are really obscure or expensive and are only used in one recipe. I wish there was more ingredient overlap so I didn’t have to buy so much stuff to make a few different drinks.

This Big Book is very entertaining to read beginning with the introduction to each cocktail and then followed with clear and concise recipes. Over the years I've amassed dozens of books on the art and craft of mixing cocktails and consider myself well read on the subject and with that background I rate The Big Book of Bourbon Cocktails as one of the best in my collection and one where 99% of the recipes appeal to me.

Was given as a gift. Seems to have been a big hit.
