Ugly Stik Elite Spinning Fishing Rod

Ugly Stiks are fantastic rods for the money, you can't go wrong with them. Good fit and finish, never had any issues with sensitivity, reasonable priced considering the quality. I have a couple of ultra light and a couple of medium rods, they all serve their purpose well. Plus, the money you save on the rod can be out towards a more expensive reel, which is a better expense in my opinion.

Please, for the love of God, put packing in the boxes. The rods eyelets bend. Mine wasn't in perfect condition but I easily bent the eyelets back. The action is a bit stiff, it casts pretty far even with light weights. I prefer the 2pc over 1 just because I like to keep my rods inside my truck and it fits better in 2. I am a life long customer of this company and I appreciate the value for the money with a quality rod. It's my first Elite series and first medium rod, we'll see how she works out.

I have 6’6 2-pc medium. Lively, sensitive and has a great feel.

6’6” medium size. Amazing rod, no problems whatsoever. Casts great. Little bit on the softer side, but works great for average size bass and Mayan chiclid fishing. Hooked up with a huge needlenose gar, handled it great. Not the lightest rod, but well balanced with a Kastking royale legend 3000 reel and 12lb braid. Liked the red lacing just above the handle, great looking combo. Speaking of the handle, great quality cork. Used U40 cork sealant and holds up great.

I had this rod this rod for several months before using it, because I was worried about the tip on it. It's a little awkward to fish because of the weight and balance. I do like the cork butt and the guides on these rods. They are tough rods and a great value for the money.

Very light weight but tough. Casts smoothly with little effort. Nice comfortable grip. Very well balanced. Perfect mid-size rod for regular lakeside or seaside fishing. Good action, ultra sensitive. This will be my ultimate go-to rod. It makes fishing feel easier than it should be, even when landing heavier fish. I’ll be purchasing another one in the near future.

I do a lot of surf fishing and recently decided to get into inshore fishing, specifically bass. I purchased this rod on recommendation from a family member as a perfect beginner rod and so far I must agree. First thing I noticed when opening it up was how light this is, thought it would be brittle but it has a very nice flex to it.Took it out fishing at a local spot with a simple Texas rig and was surprised by how sensitive it is. I could feel when I was hitting a rock or weeds but most importantly I could feel the nibbles and bites. Sadly due to my over eagerness to snap the rod back I broke the line when I first got a bite.Overall after just a couple hours with this rod I am very pleased with it and would definitely recommend this from a beginners point of view.

UPDATE: Glad to see seller has updated the info within the listing to be correct with what you get.Sorta upset about this purchase from this seller. I purchased this item specifically because it's supposed to be a 2pc rod and withing the action and lure weight I specifically needed in a rod....as said multiple times throughout the info description etc this is a 2pc rod being sold. It is NOT a 2pc rod but a ONE PIECE rod. It's almost physically impossible for me to get to a lot of my fishing areas with a 7ft one piece rod. 2pc is doable but I've tried 6ft one pieces and struggled greatly. The thing I do not get is that I received 2 fishing rods when nothing is mentioned about 2 rods being sold in this add. So where as I'm not sure if I can complain I got 2 rods withing the actions and weight I needed but the fact I can't use them in over half of my fishing spots is extremely upsetting. I needed that 2pc rod and so on that note I can't help but be highly peeved....I needed this rod this weekend as a replacement to a different rod I broke pulling in an unexpected hawg. Really wish the seller was honest in the info they put into their selling and at this point I should have just purchased locally and now will end up spending more money to do so in the end. Overall the rod itself appears to be of decent construction but I can't speak on how it handles. These rods I feel would be good pond and open river rods but sadly I don't have a boat and going through woods to get to secluded bank spots. Wish I could give more than one star review but I can't give a good rating because of the false advertising within about the rod being a 2piece rod.
