soul deck ;)
I pre-ordered this in February, as soon as I discovered it. To say that I love this deck is an understatement! Whenever I would see people saying things in reviews like, "I finally found my soul deck," I understood what they meant, but I also secretly thought it was kind of cheesy; I didn't really think I'd ever have such strong feelings about a mere card deck lol. But I connect with this one deeply. While the art is very much what I find beautiful (and indeed, this is what caused me to immediately & automatically pre-order the deck), my connection to these cards is based on more than that. I find the scenes & symbolism to be FAR better than most of the other decks I own, or have seen. Some of the cards in this deck are, I feel, quite profound, and most lead to incredibly effortless, intuitive insight. It gives new meaning to the word "divination" for me, as I can access divine knowledge & messages with rapidity and ease that is not experienced with other decks. Some of the interpretations in the accompanying leaflet are pretty novel; or at the very least, imaginative & exciting. They have definitely been useful in terms of stimulating new, important ideas and psychic information for me. As is the case with many decks, however, the leaflet greatly diverges from the traditional. For me, this is perfectly fine, but it's something to be aware of. Additionally, while the descriptions and suggested uses seem to imply that this deck should be used for particularly erotic relationship readings only, I have found that the cards can easily be used for any type of question or reading. If I wanted to criticize something about this deck, I would say that I am annoyed by two of the Kings (Swords & Cups). First, they look very similar. This would be less of a problem if I was fond of how they are depicted, but they seem to be almost the exact same angry-looking older man with ridiculously laughable gigantic muscles. Their energy just doesn't make much sense to me. I guess I can kind of see where the artist was going with this, but it falls a bit short, in my opinion. There is a strong resemblance between the King of Wands and the King of Pentacles as well, but in this case, their energy feels "right." Yes, they have appearances that are more in accordance with the average man's, but that's not necessarily why I prefer them over the other two. I just pick up more realistic, clearer energy when I see them in a spread. When I pull the King of Swords in this deck, for example, the only thing I can see is an older version of Rollo from Vikings (but pre-France lol) berserking out. That's not exactly the image I normally have in mind with the King of Swords. There is no strategic energy in this one, no thought; he's all brawn and wild, primal physicality. The majority of the cards, however, depict women (and that is as it should be, because this is where the beauty of the art is indisputable). Most of the women are stunning & for me, their "stories" as seen in the cards are even more important. There is so much depth, detail and desire (on the part of the artist) to express meaningful concepts!Lastly, I am obsessed with the card stock. It is matte and not flimsy. Some of the easiest cards to shuffle, which I really appreciate. All in all, I obviously recommend this above & beyond any other deck that I am currently aware of. If you're drawn to it, I would definitely just purchase; it's even better than I had imagined or expected~

Stunning, high-quality deck
In my opinion, this is a great deck and is my favorite one to read now. I started tarot with a basic Rider deck, as many people do, but found myself wanting a more personalized deck with different artwork. This deck is awesome and the feel of it encourages me to use it more often.Pros- the artwork is thought-provoking and sexy, and the artist manages to incorporate the symbolic elements from the classic Rider deck into the details of the art. On a personal note, I found the tribal fantasy art style to be very attractive...it has a cool nordic/native american feel to it that I appreciate. I also like the size of the deck- it is only slightly larger than a standard deck of cards and can be easilly carried. I've found some decks to be too big to comfortably handle and awkward to shuffle...not this one tho.Cons- none, in my opinion. Note that the cards are not labeled, only numbered...for the minor arcana, this isn't an issue since the cards are numbered and you can easily interpret them based on the number/suit. For the major cards, if you don't know what number corresponds to what card, you may need to refer to the guide book until you can remember them. Some reviews complain that there isn't enough representation for lgbtq, but I wouldn't have bought it if it did. Not to sound harsh, but I think a tarot deck should feel personal, and being someone that doesn't identify as all that, it wouldn't feel right for me. I've seen some hate in other reviews for this, but if the deck isn't inclusive enough, maybe it isn't the deck for you. It doesn't make it any less legitimate, because it is a good fit for others with differing values.Final thoughts- I was confused by the two different covers for the deck box in the pictures and worried there were two different decks you could receive, but those are just the two different sides of the box. The deck comes with a small guide book with info if you're starting out...it's very simplistic, but fairly accurate. Interesting note- the guide includes Eros (erotic) symbolism meanings for each card and Fantasy interpretation (how a card might correlate to fantasy adventure, such as Lord of the Rings), as well as a short classic interpretation. I thought this was a fun interpretation to include, and could be helpful for someone that uses the cards as inspiration for creative writing, sexual growth, or just a different perspective. All in all, I'm very pleased. Would reccomend/ would buy again.

The single most positive deck i have ever encountered
i've had this deck for about 10 minutes and i absolutely love it. it's gorgeous. mostly borderless. the bottom of each card has a little space to indicate the card number and suit, but there are no words printed on any cards. i love that. they are about 4.75 inches long, the maximum length that is perfect to shuffle with my tiny hands. another review noted a "thick as snot" coating. my deck did not come that way. the cards are matte, not too thick, just a smidge thicker than my llewellyn classic tarot deck. very easy to shuffle. the artwork is just stunning. the traditional tarot symbolism is there. the artist has some unique interpretations, but if you look you'll find them. the nudity is not gratuitous, mostly bare breasts and bums. no genitalia, other than some phallic looking wands. the artist clearly loves and appreciates women. of all ages. the maiden-mother-crone shows up on several cards. i haven't done a reading with them yet. but this is not one of those decks that looks great online and leaves you flat in person. it's so beautifully done i may buy a second copy just in case. the LWB has only positive, pro-sex messages. it's really a little gem. it would be fun to do a couple's spread with this deck. that suggestion is in the LWB. this was so well thought out. i want to praise the artist and just clap for everyone who brought this deck to life. i know i'm gushing. it truly exceeded my expectations.
