Quality OK but does job
You get what you pay for is the old saying. Not the greatest quality but it works fine. The other reviewer said there wasn't a place for a siphon break hole. That's not really true. I drilled two holes in mine at the top of the ball joint (which is about 3/4" under the water surface when in operation). Works perfectly fine. (Always better to drill two. Never know when a snail may be blocking one). I've tested it out and it does the job. I'll be ordering another one of these for a second tank.

Just what you would expect
This product is just what I expected and that's a good thing. It has many useful functions for a fishkeeper. I'm using this one for an auto top off system but certainly it could be used for any number of flow related applications. It's well made and the right size to run down to Home Depot or Lowes and find the right sized hose for it. Great for a return line from a sump or as a replacement for a canister filter return.

works fine!
yes you will have to drill one hole in the tube (big deal!!) for the price try and do better! This is the exact same return I was given with my 8 gal. drip water filter. it is sold and I was able to force a thick return hose over the nipple cold without bending it!! If you can't use a drill don't buy it (if you can't maybe you shouldn't be DIYing your tank, JMTC)I will be buying another to replace the white return on my 306 fluval.

No ciphon break hole
I bought this for the price but when I got it it doesn't look exactly like the picture. There is only one pivot point, not two. The problem with this design is that it does not come with a ciphon break hole. The single pivot point doesn't give a place to drill a hole slightly below the water surface. This leaves you a choice of either risking a ciphon back to the sump during a power outage, purchasing a check valve or drilling a hole above the water surface and live with the above-water stream.
