Built to meet the highest PCI and EMV security requirements, the Poynt Smart Terminal runs PoyntOS. This allows developers to create management technology and tool for your business without having to pay for any additional hardware. Terminal is not programmed. A merchant processing account is necessary to use with this device. A processing account can be obtained through an agent, your bank, or online. A special note about DEBIT CARDS: This terminal will accept debit cards without a PIN. If you want to accept debit cards with a PIN, you will need to find our  listing that has your desired encryption type. If you do not see it listed, please contact us and we will help you. If you do not know your encryption, please contact your merchant processor customer support for this information. Typical encryptions are: Wells 350, Carlton 500, TSYS XXX, Elavon, etc. If you cannot find the encryption you need in any of the listings, please contact us for support.
