Noga DB1000 Sheet Metal Deburring Tool

I don't think it should have a problem with .025" of 6061T6, but it indeed left all kinds of nasty ugliness on my edges. Tried adjusting it, if that's what those screws were meant for. I don't know, it didn't come with literature so it's hard to tell. That didn't work either. First time using a double-edge tool with cutting wheels, I'm accustomed to the dove tail variety. Maybe I'm using it wrongly. It's kind of hard to tell since, again, it came with absolutely no literature. Started the RMA process within 5 minutes of opening the box. Thankfully I only ruined a piece of scrap. Had this thing actually ruined one of my bulkheads, this review wouldn't be nearly as cordial.

This is the second one I've purchased. The first time I saw this edging tool was at the Boeing surplus tool store where I purchased it for $1.00, that was in 1990. I've used it until recently when it could no longer trim the edges of the aluminum sheets I work with. I was ecstatic to find it here on Amazon. It's exactly the same as the one I bought at the Boeing surplus store and probably will be the last one I'll ever purchase.

I wish I would have bought one of these years ago. A time save deburring 24 ga to 12 ga steel galvanized and aluminum. On stainless I don't use on anything over 14 ga. You could, but You would have to reset gap in round pieces. I use 95 % between 24 and 12 ga so that's where I leave it. If I got a big job like 100 + sheets heavier, I would just get another one and set. A real time saver.

It works great and seems well made, although it does take a few tries to learn the right angle to hold it.

If you're left with sharp edges after cutting sheet metal or aluminum than this deburring tool will fix the problem. I had an old Vargas carbide deburring tool but lost it.

I needed to deburr a bunch of sheet metal, but was having problems using a standard deburring tool for the job. After struggling with the standard tool, I asked the journeyman sheet metal workers at my job what they use and this is it.The circular cutters are adjustable for different thicknesses, and the cutters can be rotated or flipped for long life. The design is such that both the top and bottom edges of the sheet metal are deburred at once. The guard protects your fingers from the sharp edge being deburred, and the handle provides a firm grip. Very fast and easy to use.

Good tool I'm just not sure how to adjust the cutters cause there was no info with the tool
