A riveting who done it story that I only gave a 4 to because I figured out the murderer before the conclusion.

Without giving spoilers, this story starts when an 18 year-old girl bound for college in a few weeks gives a party for her friends while her parents are out of town. She sends everyone home by 11 so neighbors won't call police. Left to clean up by herself, she is murdered in her back yard. Her older sister finds her at the bottom of the family pool the next day.It's a real whodunit. The victim argued publicly with her boyfriend at the party, an uninvited guest comes over after the party-goers leave, and is there a third potential perpetrator known only as "Big Guy?" What about a mystery man who made a pass at the victim recently and was left off the guest list?It wouldn't be a Mary Higgins Clark mystery without a budding romance intertwined with solving the mystery. I look forward to that every time. In this book, the heroine is the victim's older sister. She has two would-be suitors that she whittles down to one by the book's end.Other characters will hold the reader's interest.On the likable side, there is a young man with special needs and his protective mother, a young girl who recently moved to town who was befriended by the victim, and the police detective assigned to the case. On the unpleasant side, there are parents who put so much pressure on their son he is always close to snapping, and a self-serving mentor. Teenagers make bad decisions about what they say to police, because they think they are "helping" their friends. Unfortunately, most of the town's people rush to judgment, jeopardizing the future of anyone accused.This book is just what you would expect from the Queen of Suspense - a page turner! I started reading her books in 1975, and I have not missed one since. For fans like me, you will not be disappointed by this latest thriller. For the first-time MHC reader, you are so lucky, you can pick up her other titles right away.

I love all her books. It’s always a surprise about how the murder is solved. This one was no exception.

I began reading this author at the very beginning and couldn't wait for the next one. MHC never disappointed. After many years I wandered away realizing that longer reads were my forte. The likes of the Harry Potter series and Stephen King became regulars. I also read a lot of non fiction currently much about the holocaust.So imagine my surprise when I read that Mary Higgens Clark included a young man with intellectual difficulties as a minor character in a new book. I spent my working life advocating, caring for, nursing and managing residents for both children and adults with cognitive delays with or without other problems.I retired when my third grandson was born with a diagnosis of Down Syndrome. ,By the time he was two they also realized he had Autism spectrum disorder. When Ryan was 14 months old we welcomed twins to his family...now I was super busy again when parents were at work. His sister was also diagnosed at 2 as being g on the spectrum.Now why is a book review more about me than the book? I did not have great expectations because so many portrayals of fictional characters with disabilities are flat, unrealistic, and they are minor actors in the story.I WAS WRONG.....Jamie is a real portrayal of a young man, his family and friends struggling to live a full life. I love Jamie, his mother and the other people populating this story. Well Done to the author and her family for daring to write such necessary experience in the form of a book you cannot put down.

Fast paced and hard to put down. I'm a slow reader and finished it in less than one full day.

I have always enjoyed her books but after reading quite a few, they became predictable .this is the exception I couldn't put it down and the suspence was an unexpected delight

The first book I read by Mary Higgins Clark was 'Where Are the Children?' and I have been hooked ever since. She never lets me down with all the twists and turns of her books and 'I've Got My Eyes on You' is another winner!

Wonderfully written. Suspenseful to the very end. Mary Higgins Clark does it again with this great wonderfully written story. Great.

Ich habe mir hier auf der Internet-Verkaufsplattform von Amazon das Buch "I've Got My Eyes on You" von der Bestellerautorin Mary Higgins Clark in der englischsprachigen Taschenbuchausgabe gekauft. Es handelt sich um einen Kriminalroman aus der Jahr 2018. Der Roman kommt mit einer Seitenstärke im Umfang von 246 klein bedruckte Seiten.Zum Inhalt: Es wird am Anschluss einer Poolparty die ermordete Schülerin Kerry Dowling im Swimmingpool ihrer Eltern vorgefunden. Aufgrund eines vorhergehenden Streites zwischen Kerry Dowling und ihrem Freund Alan Crowley, kommt letzterer schon bald bei der Polizei als Hauptverdächtiger in Frage. Dieser wird jedoch im weiteren Verlauf durch den geistig zurückgebliebenen Jamie Chapman entlastet, wobei letzterer Zeuge der Mordtat ist. Dafür ist jetzt Jamie Chapman ebenfalls verdächtig der Mörder zu sein. Des Weiteren hatte Kerry Dowling noch einen Streit mit einem Fremden, der den Alkohol für die Poolparty beschafft hat. Dieser ist somit ebenfalls verdächtig der Morder zu sein. Nach vielen spannenden Ermittlungen kommt heraus, dass keiner der 3 Verdächtigen der Mörder ist. Statt dessen stellt sich raus, dass es sich bei dem Mord an Kerry Dowling um eine Verdeckungstat des Coaches Scott Kimball handelt. Scot Kimball hat Valerie Long vergewaltigt und Valerie hat davon der Kerry Dowling berichtet.Das Buch liest sich flüssig und ist bis zum Schluss spannend.

This book is too good, first it came with decent package without any delivery delay then the paper quality is also not bad. Third one this book is amazing, full of suspense, you can not predict it that who murder the beautiful girl. This book will be in your mind till the time your not reaching to the end . Worth paying it 💖
