Good quality and not hard to install
I have read that many people have had issues installing this and any other bottom seal on their garage doors. I can be tough depending on the condition of the track that it runs in and of course how clean the slots are. All I did was remove the old one, which took some time as it was squashed flat, cracked with a lot of sand and debris stuck inside it. I used a box cutter to cut along each side of the track. Then pulled the "T" part of the seal out. I sprayed lightly the track with water and used an old nylon brush with dish soap squirted on the end. Used that end to concentrate the soap into the tracks and let it sit for a minute. The fully wet the brush and brushed into the tracks back and forth along the whole thing. Rinsed to make sure all debris was removed. Now put soap on the end of the brush and applied to the slots. Had the seal sitting in the sun on the driveway all the while (it was 95degrees out in the sun). Wet down the seal thoroughly. Aligned to the install angle and fed into the slots with one hand pinching the near the start of the slots and the other pushing it further down the garage door. When at the last couple of feet, had to go the other end and apply some pressure to keep it going until fully on. Once aligned cut the excess off leaving about an inch or so sticking out beyond each end of the door. Just enough to be fully behind the exterior seal on the wall and not enough to bind, rub or interfere with the rails for the wheels or the wall.Last thing was to adjust the garage door opener using the adjustment screws on the motor, so the door stopped at the correct distance and pressure on the floor to create the proper seal. The squashed old seal was about an inch lower than the new one.Durability, only time will tell, but I think this will last quite some time.If you have two 9-foot garage doors like I do, same some money and get the 20-foot length and cut in half to start with and trim once installed.

Wow this is great!!
Ok I bought this to replace my garage door seal that had been chewed through by rats or mice. I’ve been paying an official garage door guy $100 to replace this once every two years on average. Guy always claims it’s tough to do. I never paid attention since he’s the “pro” what could I do. Well the mouse chewed through another gasket so it was time for a replacement. I checked this replacement and read the reviews. It said high quality fit great etc. reviews said if you want this to go smooth and easy get a second person to feed the gasket into the track as the other person slowly pulls it. I got my son to help me. Reviews also said clean out the track first so it slides easier. I got a can of garage door spray and cleaned the tracks then sprayed them to make sliding this gasket a little easier. It all worked perfectly! The gasket is high quality, better than what I had and all the prep work made it an easy install. It was slightly longer than my door so I trimmed maybe an inch and it’s perfect. Last thing I did was adjust my garage door travel so my door didn’t squish this new taller gasket. I just looked my model up on the internet and there are a ton of videos how to do this. I was done in maybe a minute. I’ve been paying a dude $100 a pop to do what we just did for barely nothing. You can do it too. Just get things ready go slow and get an assistant. My sons total time helping me once I got all the pre work steps done was maybe 4 minutes tops. This gasket is sturdy, well made, thicker than original, and a little longer which is great for me. I’m pumped and couldn’t be happier!

Works and looks good, installation tough
While this seems to be working perfectly and looks really good on my garage door, I have to say that the installation, when trying to do it by yourself, isn’t the easiest thing I’ve ever done. I didn’t have anyone available to help.I cleaned the slots in the door and lubricated them before trying to do the installation. Still, it was a process where once every four or 5 inches or so, I had to go to the other end of the door to pull on the end of the seal. And not pull it too far, otherwise the area being fed into the track it would come out. Then small tears would appear in it making it more difficult to feed in. So it was, push a couple of inches in, walk to other side, pull, over and over. Took about 90 minutes for a 16 ft door. Not horrible but not great. Then I had to adjust the limits on my opener. That took another 30 minutes to get right.I’m happy with the result.

$^&^$#@!..... but it works!
Purchased two due to my error.... Don't cut it! Wait about a week and it will shrink back to the correct length. This install involved 2 adults and two teenagers and truly sucks. This is a project I never want to do again and if I do, I better be drunk. The first time I wiped the track and slid it down with the help of everyone in my home. It wasn't fun and a month later water was getting in the garage. Then I noticed it shrunk and tore. Bummer... So I ordered it again and sprayed some liquid soap. Don't do it, my God dont do it! After 30 min you'll want to do it but don't! It will fall out of the track as you pull. You were warned! Anyways, once it's up don't cut it and in about a week it will be perfect and no leaks.

GARAGE DOOR UPRADE
Well my weather stripping was R.I.P .. ordered this for the size of a 2 car garage door . Opened the package rolled it out and right away noticed a big difference in design compared to my old weathering strip .... installed took 2 people indeed one to slide and one to feed the strip through after cleaning the lines and a little oil . This weather stripping slide right in nicely and hoping for a long life of this weather stripping in South Florida . 😉 So as over a week has gone bye since install i think they need to widen the lip that goes into the tracks a bit more. Effect now weather strip keeps pulling out of track at times since install :/

Did not fit the ridges on my garage door
Be aware the T shaped ends that are meant to slide on the Garage door base are wide... Too wide to fit as a replacement on my garage door so a wasted purchase as needed to open and attempt to fit it.

Perfect replacement for garage door.
With the help of YouTube for installation, this product was substantial enough to last years, no doubt. Glad I did it myself instead of having a garage door company service it. Easy to do, and works as hoped.
