Most pleasant protein powder I’ve ever used
INSTRUCTIONS: Add 1/2 cup of liquid (water or juice) with 1 scoop of protein powder to a blender and mix thoroughly. Pour the froth into a container and let it sit for 1 hour or overnight to allow it to settle. Refrigerate for up to four days. I’ve used a lot of different protein powders over the years, but I often come back to this one. The short ingredient list, nice flavors, non-frothy texture, small amount of liquid needed to blend, and ability to mix it easily into other things (like veggie smoothies) makes it incredibly useful and versatile. The biggest problem with this powder is that the instructions are misleading. This doesn’t blend well in a shaker cup (most of it will gunk up in the cap and stick to the ball) and it takes way more than a few minutes to settle. You need a real blender and some planning/patience. If you try to make it according to the container’s instructions, you’re gonna have a bad time. But if you make it ahead of time, you’ll probably love it. I can’t believe I can make four days worth of shakes and let them sit in the fridge without them separating or turning into sludge like other shakes do after only a couple of hours. So while it’s not convenient in the grab a scoop and go sense, having it premade in the fridge to grab on your way out the door is even more convenient. My mother was told by her doctor that she needed more protein and she’s been struggling to get enough. She’s a petite woman who doesn’t eat much and she said the frothy traditional shakes are disgusting to her. So I introduced her to this clear protein (with a tiny splash of fruit juice) with accurate instructions, and she’s crazy about it! She’s so happy to have something that tastes good and grants her 20-30g protein in just a few sips. I’m really relieved that she’s getting the nutrition she needs now without too much hassle or dread.

Good Stuff
Good Stuff. The powder has a bit of a tough taste. Much better than most protein products. Totally drinkable. I add oranges or mixed fruits. I find that makes it very good. They tell you to stir it. You can't. It clumps up and is a mess. I put it in the blender. Do not put it on high and and just let it run. Pulse it slowly. That will mix it very well. The first time I put it in the blender, I let it go. I had Isopure all over my kitchen. This stuff foams like you have never seen. Just be a little careful with the blender and it works great. The foam goes away very quickly. I have tried the commercially bottled Isopure as well. I think it is great. I just can't afford it.

WAY TOO SWEET, GRITTY.
I usually try to be patient with new protein powders, especially since I’m post-bariatric surgery and my stomach is still adjusting to new foods, but this Isopure Clear Low-Calorie Protein was a complete disappointment from start to finish. First of all, the clumping is unbelievable. No matter how carefully I measured, shook, or stirred, it formed these little gritty lumps that refused to dissolve. I tried using cold water, warm water, a shaker bottle, and even a spoon to mix it manually, and every time, I was left with chunks floating in my drink. It felt like I was drinking a science experiment gone wrong rather than a protein supplement. Then there’s the taste — or, more accurately, the assault on your taste buds. It is way too sweet. Like, alarmingly sweet. Almost like they dumped half a bag of sugar into it. I was expecting something light and refreshing, maybe even slightly fruity, since it’s supposed to be “clear” and drinkable. Instead, I got a cloying, artificial flavor that made my stomach turn. I’ve tried flavored water, sugar-free sports drinks, and other clear protein powders before, and nothing has been this over-the-top sweet and chemically tasting. I honestly had to pour half the serving out because I physically couldn’t drink it. As someone who’s post-bariatric surgery, texture, taste, and digestibility are critical. My stomach is sensitive, and I need protein powders that are gentle, mix well, and are palatable so I can actually get the nutrients I need. This Isopure Clear product fails on all three counts. After three attempts to use it, I’ve completely given up. I ended up wasting money and feeling frustrated every single time I tried to drink it. I wanted a light, hydrating protein option that I could sip between meals without feeling weighed down. Instead, I got a powder that clumps, tastes horrible, is WAY too sweet, and makes me question why I even bought it. Honestly, I feel like they’ve completely missed the mark for people with sensitive stomachs or post-surgical dietary needs. I would not recommend this to anyone, especially anyone recovering from bariatric surgery who needs a reliable, gentle, palatable protein source. Save yourself the frustration and money — do not buy this.

Decent
I mixed 1 scoop with 40oz of water and used a frother. If you use a frother it blends well. Tastes ok, leaves a little after taste at first, but it goes away. Not sure it'd be very good in less than 40oz of water personally. Could be better but its doable to get some extra protein.
