It's about Time you bought this.....
I'm in the process of rebuilding my ELO vinyl collection and this is a great addition. Stupidly I didn't notice that this was a Legacy recording and not the original. My fault for ordering in the early hours after a beverage or two. Still it now give me the chance to play the album over and over whilst I hunt down an original. As a work of music I love it, although quite a change in style from previous albums, with synths taking over from real strings, you can still hear the ELO dna coming through. Although the setting for this 'concept' is the future if you listen to the lyrics (as no lyric liner sadly) some of the things mentioned in the songs have now come to pass already.

Amazing ..I could write a book about it
Trust me this album in amazing genius..I bought it back in 1981 at the TIME om cassette tape ..not from Amazon but from a local record store definitely not online shopping back then ..To fully appreciate this album you had to buy it back then ...and to be honest back then in 1981 I was pretty mich disappointed after Diascovery album ..I think if I could have rated TIME album back then I would have given it ⭐⭐⭐...but after all these years of happenings and crazy tech AI bots etc ..climate change etc ..like only today for example I answer the phone again only to hear some crazy female AI electronic robot voice trying to scam me with a heart of stone cold as ice ..again..it never ends ...but it reminded , of the track ' Your'es Truly 2095 ...If ever there was an album that could blow your mind 💥🤔 then this is the one..🕛💯 Is This The Way Lifes Meant To Be ?..it certainly seems like it ..Genius words and music from ELO 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟..+🌟

ELO's best album....bar none!!
Without doubt, ELO's best album ever!!!!!! (in my opinion)This re-issue sounds as good as the original (but very thin and flimsy) 80's vinyl but what I really love about this one is that it is conceptual. Until I listened to this, I had never heard a collection of songs on one album tell a story and relate to each other. Fantastic! Showing Jeff off at his most creative!Oh, and the intro is simply the best intro to an album.....EVER!!Best song? that's tough but if I had a gun to my head......'Here Is The News'.Awesome stuff!!

Great album - plain inner sleeve
My favourite ELO album. Nice to have on vinyl. Pressing seems ok, although needed a good clean before playing as there was lots of dust/paper debris on the record. Shame that the inner sleeve is just plain white without any lyrics or album credits. Otherwise would have got 5 stars.

ELO best band in the world
Purchased as a birthday present for my dad who has been a fan for about 45 years. Purchased as a replacement because he had played his previous copy to death.

ELO e seu album Time: o futuro no presente
Esperei mais de 35 anos e agora tenho está reedição importada em vinil 180g. Muito mais qualidade de som.

A whole album experience, more than the sum of it's parts
I purchased this on the special edition clear vinyl reissue, just for collecting really, as I already own the original on Vinyl and CD.The CD is crisp and suits the heavily synthesized tracks on this album, but the Vinyl also has a warmth depending on your preference. This was ELO's ninth studio album, released in 1981, four years after their immense "Out of the Blue" album.A lot of the classic ELO feel runs through this album, although it also represented (at that time) a bit of change of direction for Jeff Lynne and the band. Moreover, signaled a departure from the band's sound by emphasizing electronics over its usual orchestra. There isn't a track on this album I didn't like, and that's not just because I'm a fan, there just isn't.The mix is eclectic, but the "time" theme runs through just about every track. The music video created for its lead single "Hold On Tight" was the most expensive ever made to that point, with a budget of approximately £40,000.Four more singles followed the album's release: "Twilight", "Ticket to the Moon" (backed with "Here Is the News"), "Rain Is Falling", and "The Way Life's Meant to Be".Like "Eldorado", Time contains a prologue and epilogue, and was compared at the time by some as almost a futuristic rock opera. If you like ELO's music, I would urge you to get this album. Not just for the hit singles, but for the entire album as a sort of journey. It's a bit like listening to just a couple of tracks from Dark Side of the Moon, and not the whole album. You need to hear it, in it's entirety.Interestingly, some 35 years after it's release, the track "21st Century Man" is still eerily relative, and beautifully haunting.A great album. 5 stars
