If you're looking for a way to highlight marking recesses, a more practical product would be Colored Lacquer Sticks. You would rub it in, wipe away the excess, and gently warm it to flow. But even this will, in time will wear away. You could also, BAKE Colored Enamel into the marking recesses, as is done on some jewelry. This will hold up the best. I have used Lacquer Sticks and Enamel in my gunsmith biz.
