Majoring in Psychology: Achieving Your Educational and Career Goals

The first few chapters of this book are helpful for anyone entering college, and I only wish I had access to this book back when I was younger. As a returning student, I agree with points made throughout the beginning chapters about succeeding in college. I have destroyed this book with highlights and postits because it is an incredible tool and I will be using it as a strict guide for applying, and finding a grad school. While I was hesitant at first, this book outlines what it takes to get into and succeed in grad school as a psych major, and it has gotten me excited about the future! (Keep in mind, I love to study, learn and have very little social life so if you don't put school first in the way that I do, this book may advise you against pursuing a degree above a bachelors.) The authors do a great job of prepping the readers for grad school, but they also highlight opportunities for those who want to get jobs right after graduating instead. Whereas before I was confused about what my next step would be, I am now excited and prepared for the future. I cannot thank the authors enough for condensing all this information into an easily digestible and compact book.

This book was such an informative book, any questions you have concerning psychology as a major, you can locate the information right here in this book. I would suggest using this book as a guide. It provides a great deal of information in relation to the process of becoming a Psychology Major and the avenues/options and routes you can go with this major. I'm glad I paid for this book instead of renting it. I will continue to use it throughout my studies.

Got this for a class I was taking, I got an A in the class so i guess it's a good book to have. Only reason i gave a 4 star is because I only needed it for about 4 months and now it's just sitting on my bookcase

A really good reading for Psych major. Tell you what to do, what to prepare, a life-changing books. Have a lot of knowledge and good tips, overview about subfield. Totally recommended.
