The datalogging was easy to learn and the uploading using the FVF-SC2 software and cable was also pretty straight forward. Excelent product package. The 54-2 appears to be as dependable as the model 51 before it.

Second the opinion who said this item is not complete. It doesn't have any usb port nor can you export out the data unless you pay for a $200 software with their own IR terminal.

I had another one of these but it was ruined by a 3 month old set of duracell batteries. Duracell did pay for the replacement but I highly recommend using a lithium battery to avoid having this happen to you

Datalogging! (if you buy the $200 software)
Shouldn't this include the software if it's advertised as a datalogging. All of Extech's datalogging meters come with software.

Used this tool for coolant temp testing Had to mesured the Delta T temperature of a HD truck radiator The tool has help to determine that the Delta T accros the radiator was not enough causing the truck / engine to overheat under full pull with heavy load
