first impressions
I use this bit for a router-sled planing tablehave only used it for a hourso far so goodHOWEVER....the shank could stand to be another 1/2" longer as it is very limited getting it extended though the 3/4 table and still have plenty to safely secure in the chuckThank you

Great little bit.
Bought this to use on my Shark HD 520 CNC router with a 2 HP water cooled spindle. It has come in handy to set a flat surface and get my projects ready to go into final carving. I have seen some lines left after its cut, but that maybe due to my speeds / feeds. I have cut all sorts of wood with it and it has not missed a beat.

Hit-or-miss for small desktop milling machines; great for larger ones.
I bought this plus a 1/4in er11a collet so I could use it in a 3018 desktop machine. Learn from my ignorance: I dropped it down on my spoil board to a very shallow depth using manual jogging, but it dug in and jammed my spindle, and the spindle driver circuit overloaded and burnt out. The folks on the support group I'm in explained that you *must* ease it in sideways, either from outside the work-piece or from above with a combined sideways and downwards move. A few other people in the group have used this tool, some successfully, but the accepted advice was that it was too large for a 3018 and you'ld be better to use a standard endmill and just take longer levelling your spoil board, after all it's not something you do often. But none of that is the fault of the tool, it's the fault of the low torque spindles with 1/8in shanks that are used in these desktop machines. If your machine already uses 1/4in shanks then this is probably correctly sized for you.

Works but dulls quick.
Works good when new but dulls fairly quickly. Was using it in a router sled to flatten mix of pine and red oak. For a small flat diamond knife sharpener and I could resharpen the carbide to bring back to life for a short while.
