Great Bible for my 10yo
Purchased this for my 10yo. She loves it, reads it all the time, and she especially loves all the pictures. I would purchase again for my other children when they get older.

Quite Good
Unfortunately I had to drop a star because I found this rather lacking. All the various features to help children understand the bible better - such as Dictionary of Difficult Words, that has been dotted throughout the text and advice on the ‘Bigger Picture’ to summarise the overall theme of events, including the most important ‘Christ Centred’ links connecting OT ‘types’ pointing to Christ and His atonement - are not nearly enough to get the important Gospel message across to kids. A glaring oversight and one I simply can not excuse, was the neglect of linking Psalms 22 and 23 directly to Jesus as the obvious suffering of Christ upon the cross and the virtues of the Good Shepherd. To omit the significance of these two essential psalms is unforgivable in my opinion! What were the editors thinking of? Another problem is the lack of helpful information in more difficult books such as Ezekiel and Isaiah - again, two books which very much point to Christ and which contain lots of information that kids find difficult to understand - yet another distinct lack of help there! It is beyond me that such oversights were made when compiling this brightly coloured, beautifully illustrated children’s bible. Therefore, I can not really recommend it and that’s such a shame.I have tried the scanning of the illustrations feature, where you can use your mobile phone to make the artwork pop up and hear a short narration. This too was tricky, as you need to constantly hold the phone over the illustration to make it work which makes it impossible to read at the same time. Another thing that quickly fell redundant! The full text of the CSB translation is definitely suited to the older child of 8 years and the 146 full page, colour illustrations might make it worth buying for this reason alone. In its favour then, it has several features children will like but these could have been made much more of, so I’m a bit surprised at all the good reviews.
