There's an Owl in the Shower

We purchased this book to read with our homeschool children as part of their social studies and science curriculum as suggested by our state common core site. It is a great book that my children and I learned a lot about. My 10 year old son found himself shocked and upset that a child could have a gun never mind try to kill and animal. It helped him see a hard situation from a few different points of view. He is all about conservation and so the ending to this book really stuck with him. I think this is a great chapter book for any young reader.

My 9 year old grandson told me that I needed to read this book. With a recommendation of such high regard it prompted me to order and read There's and Owl in the Shower. When I read the story it was very clear that this clever author made learning about owls and particularly endagered owls into a warm and interesting story. I enjoyed the story and it also lets my grandson know that I listen when he speaks and I can learn from him. It was a nice way to spend a quiet moment and enjoy a story filled with facts about spotted owls, endangered species, wildlife, forestry, and wildlife rehabilitation .

Well written!!! My 5yr old loves to study nature and this is a wonderful teaching tool to learn about owls, healing nature and the roles humans are playing endangering nature. Great book for young minds!

My son was studying Spotted Owls in school and this book was recommended by a friend of mine. He was hesitant to have me order it because as an advanced reader in 6th grade, he typically reads books that are much higher even than his grade level. (The age recommendation for this book was 3rd-5th grade.) He liked it so much he passed it to his friends, saying it was a good story, fun to read, and it did a good job relaying the non-environmentalist point of view--Yes, it was a fast read.

My daughters fourth grade class read this book at school. She loved it so I purchased this for her to keep. She is reading it out loud to me and her grandfather. When done she will have read it three times. The used book was in great condition as described and arrived promptly. I would shop used books from this seller again with no worries.

This was assigned reading for my son, but he really enjoyed it and has recommended it to friends. It was a good introduction to environmental conservation without being "preachy".

My daughter had to read this book last summer 5th grade year for a summer reading assignment and now my son just finished reading it thus summer for the same reason. They both loved it!

There's an Owl in the Shower brings to light many prominent and relevant issues of endangering birds of prey.My class enjoyed it very much!

Funny book. Great for kids.
