EMiO Skin for iPhone 5/5s - Retail Packaging - Clear

Bought this for my daughter who loves to change her case on a regular basis.I am hoping and pray that she loves this as much as I do since she can put the background to anything she wants. :)

I will admit right off the bat that I am an Apple fanboy. I love their products. I love their design. I love their sheer simplicity. Yet, there are moments where you want to spice things up a little bit, give the Apple look and feel a little personal twist. There are tons of cases and sleeves out there for your iPhone, iPad or MacBook, but they mostly replace the Apple logo and look with another brand name or mass-produced design. Maybe you’re looking for something a little more – you!The CaseMaker Pro from Interworks allows iPhone 5/5S owners to create their own personalized images for the back of the phone. It basically works like an iPhone-shaped hole-punch machine. Just slide in your family photo, picture of your significant other, or just a really cool image you saw in a magazine, then push down hard and out slides a perfectly shaped cutout. You then slide that into the clear protective case provided with the CaseMaker Pro and you’re off, showing the world another little piece of your creativity.I’ve already popped out two different photos of my son, which I change every other week or so, and I love it. It makes it incredibly easy when people ask to see pictures of him and I can just flip my phone over, BOOM, there he is. The case itself is really smooth and slides in and out of pockets nicely. That’s one big flaw I find in other protective cases, when you get security against damage, but lose the ability to actually get the phone out of your pocket in enough time to answer it.The CaseMaker Pro is a solid piece of gadgetry. Heavy and sturdy, this product will likely outlast the people who buy it.If Interworks continues to iterate on the design of the CaseMaker Pro, my only suggestion would be to create a window through the top so you could see exactly where the cuts were lining up. That would make it a little easier to make sure you got exactly the photo cropping you wanted.If you’re looking for that extra way to make your iPhone a little more “you,” the CaseMaker Pro gives you endless opportunities in a simple, nearly effortless way.

This product works as advertised, it allows you to turn any printed sheet into an iPhone design. It comes with a small paper cutter that crops your page into an iPhone case shape. You then lay your page inside the provided iPhone case. The case they include has a clear back panel that shows your image. It's not particularly revolutionary but it gets the job done and provides a level of customization that's hard to find elsewhere.I think the price is a bit high for what you get ($40 for a paper cutter and plain iPhone case). You can get similar hole punching devices for $12-$15 at any office supply and iPhone cases can be had for $10 or less. For that reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5.That said it does exactly what it says it will do and it gives a welcome option to those of us who aren't satisfied with the variety currently available. I would recommend this to folks who are looking for ways to really make their phone individualized. It would also be useful to parents who want to showcase family photos, etc. You would have to buy at least 3-4 normal cases to add up to the cost of this kit so bear that in mind when deciding if this product is right for you.
