Hero Arts AF364 Ink, Ombre Dolphin

So I love the sunset one for my phoenix stamp that I got for my tarot decks I'm making. It really blends well. Just remember you need to move the stamp back and forth on the ink pad to mix the colors a bit. really I got four colors total as I got the yellow, orange, dark red, and more of a bright red. It looks really nice.However I also bought the dolphin one and it worked at bit (last picture), but it seemed like it was a little dry and was hard to get the ink on the stamp. I tried to moisten it up just a bit (second picture) and I guess it was just out of ink as the purple almost stopped working and the pink started to turn orange. I'm getting a replacement. I'll update when that comes in.I think these will be great ink pads though as I saw refills for the ink on the site after I tried to moisten this one.

I jumped on these inkpads at the thought of stamping ombre images but was very disappointed. The ink is a bit too juicy and doesn’t stamp crisp images even on photopolymer stamps. I probably would have returned them had I not waited to use them after the return date.Oh well, I figured I could gift them to my nieces and nephews or pull them out again if I figured out how to use them. So they sat around and collected dust until one day a light bulb went off. What if I used them for ink blending backgrounds and use them on stencils??So I took out my makeup blending brushes (the kind with the handle that look like toothbrushes) and went to work. What a pleasant surprise because this is where they shine. I’d go as far to say this is what they were meant to do! I don’t think Hero Arts markets them that way but they really should consider doing so. It really beats pulling out several different inkpads and through trial and error, trying to figure out which colors blend well together and which colors won’t create that mud looking color.One star deduction for not stamping a crisp image the way I like but a great job with blending backgrounds or panels.Side note.....since I use them for blending, I don’t worry about cross contaminating the colors. I haven’t had a problem with that at all. Sometimes I’ll pick up all three colors at once with my blending brush and sometimes I’ll only pick up one color with my blending brush. No problem either way. See pictures for the great job they do for blending.

Gorgeous!! It’s not that hard, people! Tap the stamp on the pad a couple of times to ombré the colors where the lines are. I absolutely love it!

A bit disappointed with colors. Aside from the lightest gold, the other two come out as muddy browns with no real metallic to them.

Hero Arts Ombre inks are incredible, The way the colors work together and you can use each color on it's own makes it a great value. If you don't like to color, like me , these help so much. I like to color but am not very good and this is a great solution. the colors are vivid and turn out so well. These are a great investment for card makers lie me.

I love this for my shop’s “thank you” stamp! Yes, it is 3 strips of color, but like another customer said, you just move it up and down a bit and it does come out a pretty ombré design.

I love the colors of this stamp ink pad makes it easy to use small stamps in 3 colors or less. The only problem is that one of the 3 pads came lose and does not easily stay put when inking stamps.

I like the colors but the pads is not as juicy as I would have liked. It is useable and as described by another customer as three strips of three different colors. I think if the strips were larger, it would improve the product.

Schöner Farbverlauf, gute Tinte. Funktioniert mit Gummi- und Polymerstempeln. Die einzelnen Farben berühren sich nicht, somit können sie sich nicht gegenseitig verunreinigen. Beim Stempeln muss man darauf achten, dass man immer leicht nach oben und unten tappt, dann bekommt man einen gleichmäßigen Verlauf.Ich habe viele Produkte von Hero arts und hatte noch nie Probleme damit.

I am very disappointed in the way this ink functions. The ink pad is very wet and the stamping impressions bleed out and become so blurry you can barely recognize what the stamp is. Awful. Will be returning.

This stamp pad has been used a lot on many different projects .The ink blends nicely together. I see they have many more color blends now.

I'm sorry but I was really disappointed with this product. I had expected a single ink pad with graduated colour but the ink pad had three strips of three different colours. The strips did not even sit together - there were gaps between them. Sadly they do not work for me as I had hoped they would. Also even though I used a good quality card the ink bleeds right through to the other side. Not great. It is such a shame - I was so excited to try something different.
