Really nothing to complain about at this price point. Rock solid and well built. Remote control is effective. Linked to a Rotel Amp (Old school) and Wharefedale Diamonds. Enjoying CD's with a full, warm and clear sound that really beats Spotify hands down. It really is the 1990's all over again with New Order, Talking Heads, Happy Mondays and the Farm. If you spent £500 on a CD player, it cannot be twice as good...

I bought this CD player to replace an old Technics one which died after many years of use. I am very impressed with the sound quality and sturdy build, plus its exactly the same size as my existing Technics stack system. However, it has one massive flaw....... It won't play my CD-Rs, despite the manufacturers claim that it does. CD-Rs which played perfectly on my old Technics CD player. I googled this issue and found a post by Denon customer support which comes up with numerous explanations as to why it won't play certain CD-Rs, and which suggests to me that they clearly don't expect it to play ALL CD-Rs. This is most disappointing, and in my opinion misleading. Update. It was only 2CD-Rs out of 8 which wouldn't play. I re-burned them on new discs and all is well.

I was looking for a budget no frills player so I could take advantage of buying reasonably priced albums and not paying for advert-ridden streaming services or extortionate vinyl. Picked this up as an Amazon Warehouse deal and it's perfect. Almost brand new and quality, no-nonsense audio player. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but that's all I wanted. Something to okay CDs. A perfect buy if you want something to play your old 90s collection on.

Easy to use, great sound & looks good with my other HI - components & worth the money.

Basic controls FF,RW,PLAY/PAUSE etc. remote has multiple functions for Denon other units amplifier etc. which I find clutters up the remote if you do not have the same brand. Quite big for a CD player stand alone unit, could be 10cm shorter without compromising performance!. The finish is shiney black of which cheapens the look of the case, would look better in a matt finish and smaller in size. Performance so far can't be determined as have only played a few albums. Am using this with high end Technics amp with DC power preamp and led VU meters enabling very good control over sound reproduction.

Crystal clear sound. Very easy to set up. Replaced extremely old Technics player. Very pleased

Here's the deal. I have no idea if the Denon is good or bad because I was never able to use it. This review is in order to warn any U.S. customers to stay away from ordering through Amazon. My unit came via DHL from England. Fine. But, it was wired for British wall sockets. I even tried getting a little converter that fit over the plug and converted it to American sockets. Nope. Does not work. Unit is probably some Euro voltage anyway. Do NOT order anything that's from the AMAZON GOBAL STORE. If you get the wrong thing YOU will have to pay to have it returned. In my case it was going to be $289.00. The freaking cd player only cost just under $400. Sooooo....I'm going to keep it and use as an object lesson and reminder. Look...just be very, very careful what you buy via Amazon if it's going to be shipped from overseas. Do not do that.

Tenía ya un amplificador Denon PMA 900 y he añadido este reproductor CD y combinan a la perfección con un solo mando. El dispositivo se ve robusto y da un magnífico sonido, es simple pero con buenas terminaciones. Lo mejorable sería el display de información, pues es poco nítido y con menor luz que el del ampli y también da poca información en reproducción CDs y da más información cuando se reproducen en mp3. Pero parece un buen reproductor y con muy buen sonido. Lo volvería a comprar
