Replacement for Lost Remote
Once we figured out the codes on the fan this has worked like a charm. Seems as though it is a replica of the lost remote. Very happy with the purchase.

Easy, peasy!
I bought this as a replacement for the exact same remote that came with my Emerson fan. (One of the fan speeds stopped working on the original remote.) All I needed to do was look at how the old one was set up inside, i.e., which toggle was on, and copy it on the new fan. Voila, it worked!

Sometimes, old is better
This remote is identical to my old remote which "died" on me a couple months back. The order went through a third party vendor as the manufacturer went out of business a few years ago. The new unit came with batteriesn but they were dead due to age. With new batteries, the controller woks as well as the old one which died.

NICE REMOTE
Works flawlessly and is great to have with a wall switch. I have one of these and a wall switch (same brand) for each of two ceiling fans. Great product, as far as i can tell.

UC7210T
Emerson box is marked SR401. UC7210T is the model number on the remote that I replaced. The back of the new remote is only marked as model number UC7210T, not SR401. Obviously this is a direct replacement for mine and works perfectly. Wish that Amazon showed UC7210T as the model number. I had some uncertainty as to whether it would work.

Receiver is NOT include.
The second bullet point in the description says "Canopy mount receiver". The specs also include 120VAC power details, which is only applicable for the receiver.The receiver is NOT included. Home Depot had several options under $30 that include the receiver, and are just as sleek and nice look at this one. No reason to buy this.

Like everything Emerson, it just works.
I purchased several Emerson fans from a trusted dealer in Milwaukee (you local folks know which store I'm referring to), and as they promised, the products are truly built to last a very long time. This remote control was purchased for the bedroom fan because, frankly, we're too lazy to get out of bed. Instructions are basically common sense. The fan was "remote ready" so it was basically just add the batteries to the remote and go. Very happy with this purchase.

Need to replace original remote for fan. Leftbatteries inside too long and leaked. Hard tofind elsewhere. So easy to set up.
