All in all, my favorite capo in the world, I own at least 10 of them!
I have lots of capos of different kinds, including some Eliot capos which sell for >$100.But Shubb make the best all-around capo. Beautiful design, completely open on one side so it doesn't interfere with the fretting hand as many capos do.- Easy to use- Indestructible- Adjustable clamping force to a pure tone- Small and unobtrusive- Reasonably priced so you can buy extras- Won't damage guitar neck- Can be used in some locations as a partial (5-string) capo. For example, put it on at the 4th fret from the treble side covering 5 string and play in C-shape, you're really in E with an especially low bass note.- You can use two capos, one from each side, for tunings which look like "Drop-D" but are higher up the neck.I can't be stored on the headstock like a spring capo (Kyser, etc,), and maybe takes a few seconds longer to install, but is smaller and more versatile in all other respects. If your guitar has a particularly wide neck (>1-3/4" at the nut), you might prefer the Shubb Deluxe 12-String capo, which is the same thing only wider."Deluxe" means it has a roller on the cam. The non-deluxe model costs a few dollars less but works just as well, save for slightly more force required to put it on. I prefer the deluxe versions but only slightly, and mostly on aesthetic grounds, the function is just about identical.

Great Capo
This capo came highly recommended everywhere I read capo reviews. They were right. So far I've used this capo on my Taylor acoustic 224 and on my Fender Strat and it works great. The capo is easy to use once you understand how to adjust it. You can get it on and off the guitar pretty quickly, but not as quickly as a spring capo. (If I were performing live, I probably would opt for a spring one, just for quick changes.) The capo stays put and puts equal pressure on all 6 strings. It's lightweight, but a quality piece of equipment and looks nice.

Best capo on market.
Works well and doesn’t cause issues like other capos.

After years of using various capos, this one is the best I've used!
Small, durable, and easy to use. While this isn't a "quick-adjust" capo where you can change its position literally as you're playing, it does offer way more than the "quick-change" capos can.1. It is adjustable, which is its #1 feature. No more bending your strings to the point of putting them out of tune. As you move down the fret board, you can increase the pressure as necessary. As you move back up, you can decrease it. This capo allows you to provide just the right amount of pressure needed to accomplish its task.2. The finish and build quality of this capo is great! I own both the stainless steel version, as well as the black version and they both are extremely durable and have held up to many hours of playing on the road.3. The rubber padding is not the cheap kind you'll find on some capos (some actually use some sort of foam which will obviously deteriorate over time. Instead, it uses a nice, solid piece of rubber-like compound that feels durable and doesn't discolor or damage the strings. One thing worth mentioning: This is not a very wide capo as some of them are, specifically the Kaiser brand capos so you do need to pay attention to how you're attaching it to ensure you have all strings covered. It's a very mild inconvenience and after some use, you'll be able to do it without even thinking about it. If you need a wider capo, Shubb does make them.I've been playing guitar for almost 20 years and have used almost every capo you can find and this one is simply the best. I think you'll be satisfied with your purchase as I was.

Shubb vs Kyser - not even close
Shubb brings new joy to working with capos. The bulkiness of Kyser, which I LOVED for the maneuvarability, is irritating, and I didn't notice it until I tried the Shubb. The Kyser gets in the way, both visually and, slightly but importantly, physically. The Shubb is so low key, you do NOT feel intimidated to put fingers whereever you want, as close to fret zero (i.e. the knuckle or what have you), because the schubb will not interfere. It's close to a dream. In fact, if using the Shubb for drop low E (i.e., put shubb all the way across the highest 5 strings), can even fret the low E string at the 2nd fret i.e. play what looks like a e minor chord (it's an F# minor of course), and fret the root at 2nd fret. Love it. You have to descend index finger straight down, but hey, it's doable and that's all I care about. I haven't really tried using the thumb, doubt it's work.Any way, great capo, and dialing in the tension, AND the ability to put capo on strings first, and THEN clip the clamp to not bend strings accidentally is so nice.Am not worried that this is a two-handed capo to put on. Not a big deal. Doesn't slow me down.I actually put my kyser away five minutes in, much as I liked it; the shubb is uber professional i.e. glitch free.Shubb for the win, you deserve to at least try it, I say you'll never look back.

Great adjustable capo
Works perfectly! It takes a little more time to switch between guitars with it than a regular trigger capo, but the even clamping force and more compact size make it worth it. The materials also feel very nice and high quality, and the thumbscrew is reasonably smooth.
