Review: Excellent EJ99TLG Fluorocarbon Strings... Love them!.. I DON'T LIKE the EJ88T Nyltech strings. - I've been playing uke and other (both steel and nylon) string instruments for many decades. These are wonderful strings and they sound terrific. You can play them soon after installing with more frequent tuning, but allow about 48+hrs for the new strings to stretch and 'stabilize', and then they are really great... and I love the low 4th (EJ99TLG) string! One minor caution: These strings are super-slippery, great for playing but 'slipping' might be a potential problem below the bridge... if you encounter any 'slipping' problem (especially tying/securing them below the bridge*), carefully 'rough up' the string surfaces (ONLY in this area) with very fine sandpaper or nail file (eg emery board) and they should work just fine. Will definitely repurchase... I love 'um! *If you are still tying your strings below your bridge, do yourself a favor and buy a set of Guitar String BridgeBeads (available via desertcart.com) and your instrument will sound 'brighter' and makes restringing easier. Play daily and have fun! One more CAUTION: Be extremely careful when ordering from the desertcart website... I just opened a new set of strings that I have had for some time and I accidentally had the WRONG SET (EJ99T) of 'Nyltech' instead of 'Fluorocarbon' (EJ99TLG)... the outside packaging looks almost identical and you can 'jump' to the wrong string set very easily when ordering on the desertcart website... whether I ordered the wrong set or was sent the wrong set I have no idea, but be extremely careful when ordering and 'double check' the string code in the UR corner to make sure you are ordering the correct set of strings. D'Addario is a good company with good products but I DON'T LIKE the Nyltech (EJ88T) strings...do yourself a favor and get the D'Addario FLUOROCARBON ((EJ99T or EJ99TLG) strings... I think they sound, feel and play much better.
Review: Just wonderful strings - the G3 drop is awesome. - Pretty new to uke. Only a couple years and haven't really taken it very seriously. Even though I have a few of them. I've always disliked the little G4 4th string and wanted to drop it to G3, try it out, as I've never tried a G3 uke. It's awesome. I did have to file my 4th string nut slot, but was quick and easy with a cheap set of nut files I got. Not difficult at all, took less than a minute. The 1st string needed an extra couple wraps at the bridge. The G3 string was kinda tough to tie, being so thick. It is certainly the string that needs to stretch the most. It is wonderful and feels so meaty on the thumb, it's so much better to play for a guitar player. They sound amazing, I love it. That G3 hits a perfect harmonic resonance that really projects. They are crisp and clean sounding. They feel great, and strong. The uke is much nicer to fingerpick on now. Still on day one, but I can tell these strings are just a huge upgrade to my uke and I'm going to love them. Edit: Here we are, 8 days shy of 1 year later on the same strings. I still absolutely love them. They sound great, and I certainly prefer them over any other uke strings I've had on a uke. They REALLY brightened up with the sound after the first couple weeks and haven't dipped in quality of that sound so far. Still great.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Sound
*by G***1 on July 4, 2019*

Bought a Kmise tenor because 1) it is a VERY inexpensive instrument online and 2) all I want it for is to have a low-G tuning option at the ready. (Side note: this hobby is so affordable!) I first bought an Aquila low-G string and turns out that was a wound string - I had no idea, but the wound string squeaked during my finger movement and that string resonated so much that the sound overwhelmed the chord with a constant humming. Bottom line: it sounded horrible, not to mention that the original strings on the Kmise tenor are no doubt not top quality strings, but there is no doubt that the wound low-G Aquila string hummed because I could pluck the open string and that was the sound I was hearing during any card strumming. Once I realized that I didn't like the squeaking of the wound string I decided to replace all the strings and went with D'addario since I have those on my baritone, concert and soprano ukes and they sound great and stay in tune VERY well. Noticed an IMMEDIATE difference when I strung my tenor uke with these as 1) the squeak is gone and 2) the sound is greatly improved (no doubt this being a factor of also replacing the originally strung C-E-A strings with these high quality strings. Bottom line: I learned at a very low cost that I do not like wound strings and I'm a D'addario string guy - I'll stick with them as I now have consistent satisfaction with their strings on my uses.
