The Battle Plan Prayer Journal

Things you'll want to know...1) This book is quite small. It's designed to fit in a pocket so you can pray anywhere. See pic- the book is smaller than my hand.2) What's inside: a few introductory pages with quotes. Then largely prayer request pages (with dates, and a check-off box for "answered") paired with plain-lined "answers/journaling" pages.There is one page each for the days of the week, so you can organize prayers by Monday topics, Tuesday topics, etc.There are four pages scattered throughout the request pages explaining the classic ACTS prayer concept.At the end, there are a few more prayer ideas. The book concludes with an explanation of salvation.3) In the rear of the book, there is a pocket. Great place to stick prayer request slips of paper, but definitely too small for a church bulletin. Picture it as the size of a traditional funeral program.4) There's an elastic band to hold it closed. Weirdly, it's black. I have no idea why they didn't color coordinate it with the journal.5) There's a ribbon to keep your place (which is brown). Probably just like the one in your Bible, glued or sewn into the spine.6) The title you see on the front is a paper wrapper that comes off. Underneath is a monochromatic brown journal with a border beveled in and the "crosshairs" symbol from the movie The War Room.Other impressions...It's classic looking and sturdy. I think it will survive pockets and purses.You'll need to write small! There are seven horizontal lines for journaling per inch. If you need reading glasses, this might not be the journal for you. I also wish there were a place for a small pen or pencil, so you could keep them together.It's a good journal. It probably meets the needs of the purchaser who is looking for a place to keep prayer requests.However... if you saw the movie, how the lead character was journaling long prayers and copying Bible verses, this book is not for that purpose.If you're looking for instruction on that kind of battle strategy prayer, I'd recommend a different resource. Priscilla Shirer's Fervent book (also from the movie) is excellent. Paring it with a regular journal notebook, in regular size with just lined paper, would work.I give it four stars because it won't be the answer for every believer, but it is a good "little" journal.

What it has in it is very good and I did not expect it to be so small. In the movie when she gave one to her daughter it looked like a regular size book at least 4X6 or 5X7 - this is mini and I do not see how anyone can write in it!

I love this prayer journal. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the size of it. It is much to small for comfortable writing. But it has loads of great information to go along with the War Plan Bible Study I am doing right now and also Fervent by Priscilla Shirer that I am reading right now. I just wish it was bigger. It is only about the size of an index card and I would like to have had it about the size of most journals 5 x 7 probably?

I gave one of these to each of my 3 teen sons recently. I told them to write a little note to God every night before bed. They talk to God every night now. Tell Him their problems and pray for things... they keep them right by their bed. I feel it gives them some tangible accountability in their life. It makes me feel good that they are taking time to write to God every day. I'd HIGHLY recommend this. I'm sure the Lord enjoys reading the entries...

I love this little prayer book. I can record who and what I am praying for and when the Lord has answered my prayers. Great help in my spiritual life. I can easily fit it in to my pocketbook to take it to church. I record people on the sick list who are in need of prayer, and we all are. Make a difference in someone's life by growing your prayer life. You will not regret it.

It arrived today. It's very small and compact. That may be good for a man to carry in his shirt pocket. It's just too small for me to write in comfortably. I would prefer the same thing in a bigger option. I also think if you open it all the way to write flat, the pages will break out of the binding. It's not the best layout for the amount of use it should withstand. I hope I'm wrong.

I read the reviews and knew this would be small, although there is a larger version coming out soon I went ahead and ordered this because I thought a pocket size version would be good to carry around in my purse. Sometimes things pop into your head out of the blue and if I don't write them down I'll forget, you know? :)While it is very tiny and you need to write tiny as well, it is a great thing to have on hand so if you're worried about it's size I just suggest pre-ordering/ordering the larger version. :)

I pray with people every day and everywhere I go. I use this book to remember who I have prayed with, what occurred, and what still needs prayer. I record in it conversations I have with God, where I write down a question, the verses I receive of find, inspirations that occur as I pray and finally the resulting prayer that completes a "conversation." The book has room for and some sections on each page for the above. My only concern os that it will be out of print when I need its replacement.

I love the book! There are spiritual tips and insights that has really helped me in my prayer life. The book is quite small compared to my big hands so I may have to adjust every now and then. overall, I'd recommend buying it if you want something to supplement your prayer life
