Good scale
Small, lightweight and great for travel. The 2kg max weight is large enough for most uses. The accuracy vs. standard weights was excellent. Plastic travel case seems sturdy to protect the scale. Quite happy with the purchase.

10 years later, it is still working!
I bought this Scale January 2015, and after 10 years of having this wonderful scale, I lost the last number on the right. Granted this is for certain my fault as I was using this for brewing espresso, and it got wet more than a few times. Buy with confidence. This is a great scale for a fantastic price.

Nice and compact, batteries included, seems accurate. The covers double as trays for small parts. Very nice and worth it

Nice scale. Sturdy enough for the kitchen
Nice scale. Sturdy enough for the kitchen, nice display, fairly consistent, seems reliable thus far, and the price is right.I'm a regular scale user. I have daily use for a variety of scales. Postal, food, hobby, health, etc. I have to mention that using digital scales for quite a few years, from a variety of manufacturers. I seem to get reliable use out of them for 5 or six years, then they die. (usually from accumulated bumps and bangs during use. They are just a tad fragile, as they warn in the instructions)This particular scale replaced my small kitchen scale. It's primary function at the moment is for measuring coffee. I measure by weight, not by volume, so this scale gets constant use. Here are the features that I most appreciate, in no particular order:Excellent display. It has large digits, uncluttered display, and nice back-lighting. Easy to read without leaning over or squinting.Uses normal batteries.Weight to 1/10 gram. That's a nice increment for many uses, and nice in the kitchen. Great for coffee.Self zeroing, I can place my container on the scale, and turn it on, it sets itself to Zero so I'm only weighing the contents, not the container. Can undergo precise calibration if one ever requires it. Though frankly, if you need that kind of precision, this is probably not the scale for you. I wouldn't depend on this one if I were transacting precious metals. One unexpected thing I like. It has a nice, firm, clear plastic cover that fits over the whole scale, like a hat. I use that. Keeps the whole thing clean. No food particles or spills to get on the display or buttons. This is fun, it does one neat "trick" I haven't had on any of my scales before. It can count stuff. For instance, if you wanted to know how many candy pieces are in a "batch" you weigh one, hit the counting button, then weight the whole batch, and it will tell you how many are there. Actually, I can't think of a use for that feature, for myself. I just use it as a scale. If it fits you're needs, I have no doubt most users would be very happy with this one. It was pleasantly surprised with it.Hope you will be, too.-Berk

Can’t beat it at this price point
First off, I’m using this scale for making pour over coffee. For this use I wanted 0.1 gram resolution and hopefully accuracy better than +/-1g so that I can more accurately dial in my method and work to improve the repeatability of my brews. If you don’t feel like reading this whole review I can say right now my expectations were greatly exceeded.General thoughts:-This scale is small! the weighing platform is roughly 4”x4” and is perfect for holding a coffee mug.-This is a sub $15 scale and it shows. It is built to a price point. The weighing platform is made from light gauge stamped sheet metal, the whole scale is very light, and the buttons feel cheap. If you have the money and value having “nice” things you may be interested in a higher priced scale.-While I would hate to see what would happen if I dropped this scale off the counter, they seem to have put money into the things that matter. I have access to calibrated weights and tested my scale: not only can it resolve to 0.1g it’s also accurate to +/-0.1g.Calibration test:The calibrated weight set I used went up to a total of 1kg. I placed each weight (or set of weights for values over 400g) on the scale 3 times to check repeatability. Each of the 3 times the scale read exactly the same for each weight. These values are listed below.100g weight = 100.0g200g weight = 200.0g400g weight = 400.1g800g weight = 800.1g1000g weight = 1000.0gAt this price point I would have been fine if it came out to +/- 1g, but coming out to +/-0.1g is truly a surprise. I will say that it seems to be sensitive to where you place the weight on the platform. Placing weights at the edges gave readings as far as 0.3g off and lower repeatability (placing the same weight at the same spot on the edge gave a different value each time, but never more than 0.3g from the specified value. This behavior isn’t limited to just this scale though. I work with MUCH more expensive equipment that behaves similarly. If you’re conscious of placing your items at the center of the platform you can definitely expect +/-0.1g accuracy. In normal use(less careful use) I expect +/-0.2g which is more than good enough for coffee.Overall, I can’t recommend this enough for the price I paid. As I said before, those who can afford more and like having things that are more well built would probably be more satisfied with a higher price-point scale (even if they perform the same). For those who don’t want to spend more, this scale is excellent.
