Nice brushless motor gives it good power. I've cut metal, plastic, and wood with it. Nice locking trigger keeps your hands free and the built in Chuck tool into the handle is a nice touch. Better than having it attached to the cord or just laying free. This thing does use some juice so have extra batteries ready or at least a 4ah for more than a couple cuts.

I've purchased several Skil cordless tools in the last couple of years and haven't regretted it once. I can't say that for some of the other junk you find for sale here. Yes, the 2ah batteries don't last all that long with an angle grinder, but there are larger capacities available also (I have a 4ah on the way, and there are 5ah ones as well). My Skil tools have all worked perfectly for my needs, and this angle grinder beats the heck out of a (only slightly) cheaper off-brand one I bought a couple of months ago that turned out to be completely useless. Very pleased as always with Skil.

Very comfortable to work with. I like the soft start feature. Seems well built. So far used it on a wood sculpture with 40-grit Type 27 discs - very predictable handling. After a few minutes of use it became more of a sculpting tool the just a grinder.On the first sculpting session (early morning, ambient temp was around 75F) the battery lasted about 27 minutes (of almost continuous with short pauses use). The battery (the original it came with) got hot and the built-in overheating feature shutdown the battery all-together. Once it cooled off a little it gave me another 20 seconds worth of work and then died.A few days later I purchased a second battery which on the second charge lost the charge indicator lights (but when was nearly drained it did display the last bar). Maybe the company will chime in on the lights indicator issue.

It's ok and all but the battery it comes with doesn't lasts long and it tends to overheat after a while. If you're thinking about getting it try buying an additional battery with it

It's a fine cordless grinder. It won't match a plug-in (corded) grinder but as far as cordless tools go...it's typical. The switch is hard to push so make sure you have strong hands (thumb). Weight is good...shape is easy to use...easy to store/carry.

Battery not working don't even know what to say about it so disappointed.
