I was thinking to buy this cooker for very long time. This. It is simply a great product. The price is little high but the product is worth it. The food can be kept cooking and warm for more than 8 hours. I have taken this cooker for many camping, disney and other trips and found that this is helpful in keeping meal hot and fresh for very long.I am soon planning to buy another smaller cooker of this kind.

Works well, but too big for a small family.
I've used it for chili, soup, congee, pasta sauce... and I look forward to using it more. It's good for continual cooking without worrying about my stove being left on. But it's a little on the big side. I think I might get a smaller size since it works better when it's at least 80% full. With just my husband and me, I don't generally cook that much at one time. This larger one is good for when I need to cook for a lot of people. I like that it keeps the food hot for church potlucks. This one is much, much better than the Sunpentown one that my mom has.

I was so excited to receive this Thermal cooker. I followed instructions carefully and put it to use for the first time to cook some stock. After 20 minutes the inner pot on the stove, one of the 2 cheap plastic handles started to crack. I was totally disappointed. I give it a 3 as the outer pot worked fine to keep the soup warm throughout a few hours, but the plastic material is not up to standard. For $250 for a sub par product like this, it is not worth it.

Worth every penny
This slow cooker is awesome! It will save you money because you don't need to keep your stove on for a long time, and it doesn't take electricity like a normal crock pot. Just bring the inner pot to a boil, then take it off the stove and put it in the outer pot, which will continue to cook it and keep it warm for hours. You can get dinner ready before going to work in the morning. I like that this Tiger brand is made in Japan, so you know it's quality (none of this cheap made in China stuff). The outer pot is made of stainless steel too.

Low quality and poorly made
Just received one I bought from Amazon and I am returning it. The cooker was of very low quality and very poorly made. There were uneven surfaces and dents inside and out. I used Tiger products before and liked its quality very much. That's why I bought this Tiger cooker. But this cooker did not show the Tiger quality. I was very surprised and totally unsatisfied. This review is on the product I received, not on the seller. I am working with the seller to return the cooker.

So, I had some time to test it out, and my verdict is, I love it! It's worth every penny that I spent and some more. It is very easy to clean. It heats up quickly and continues to keeps food hot for further cooking for a very long time, may even be longer than advertised. This pot just surprises me, in a good way. I own a few All Clad copper core, including the 7 qt. stock pot, and thought nothing could touch their heat conductivity, but this pot is just right up there in the alley. It is thinner than All Clad so you might want to take a little more care not to put a dent on it. Not that it would ever happens, but because I am so used to the thickness and heaviness of All Clad, anything else just seems fragile. Because of its weight (or lack thereof, compares to All Clad) you could fill the pot up and still be able to move and lift it up to put it in its thermos pot.If you love soup, any type of soup, not just Asian, this is the pot for you! It will save you on your energy bill, and will pay of itself at the end!

Very Disappointed
I purchased this cooker back in November but just got a chance to use it for the first time last night. I used it to make some vegetable soup and I put the pot inside the external container overnight. The soup was VERY hot before I put it in. I checked the soup temperature this morning (about 10 hours later). The soup was lukewarm and not hot at all. I also noticed a lot of water droplets inside, which tells me the cooker is not quite vacuum sealed as advertised. I definitely do not recommend this product. If I found this out sooner I would have returned it. But I feel bad doing it now as it's been two months, even though I have used it only once.
