I test fitted it once on my 1.25" hitch and the U bolts bent like a pretzel. Ive encountered plastics that are more resilient than this metal. It wasn't even tight enough to prevent the hitch from moving around and the U bolt failed. One of the 2 lock washers also failed. I can see this working on a 2" hitch but it's completely useless on a 1.25" hitch.Returning this garbage.

Pretty terrible hardware. I bought two... All four washers bent like they were made of paper, and one of the bolts had damaged threads.Are any of the others better? Doubt it, but this one does not live up to the rating.Avoid

I ordered a pair of these, one for myself and one for a friend. The first package I opened was fine, but the second had improperly machined threads on one side not allowing the bolt to be threaded on as seen in the picture. I followed the return/reorder policy and was happy to see another on my door step the next day. Unfortunately, the replacement had the exact same issue with the threads as the previous. As you can also see in the picture the washers provided are fairly thin and became deformed after just trying the product out for a test fit. This product was the one of the least expensive of Anti-Rattle devices so I guess you get what you pay for. Lesson learned.

My 2-inch hitch receiver always seemed a little loose when I had the bike rack attached. The knocking back and forth was annoying. By putting this unit on I was able to eliminate any back and forth motion, and any excess wear on my hitch parts. It also worked great with the trailer ball mount when towing a boat.

For our 1000 mile trip we needed something to keep the luggage carrier still. This product fit the bill and worked well. The only minor issue was the included washers were not up to the task and deformed upon tightening which made them difficult to remove when we reached our destination (removed carrier for the week while on vacation). It was not a big issues as we just replaced with larger and stronger washers for the trip home. The rest of the system seems very well made and strong. I recommend this hitch tightener.

The product was delivered in a timely fashion. The U-bolt and steel plate are good, but the washers are cheap and too small to be effective. The washer's diameter was too small, and they caved in on the hole and were too small and soft to be able to tighten them up properly to be effective. I'm going to have to replace the washers with larger and stronger ones, so off to the hardware store I go. Not happy so buyer beware!

I’ve installed this twice now since I have a camper so I switch hitches depending on what I’m pulling. On the second install, the u-bolt threads stripped (like other mentioned). SO CHEAP. Hardware is easy to replace but the u-bolt?!This really is a piece of trash.

I have used a similar product to stop a motorcycle rack from bouncing around. This time it is for my scooter lift. It does help stabilize the lift and keep it from bouncing as much while traveling. Hopefully the anti-rust coating will keep it looking better over time. Would recommend.
