Resurrected A Vintage Workbench Magnifier Lamp
I had an old (65+ years?) magnifying extending-arm workbench light, with a real glass magnifier, that I wanted to install on my workbench. I bought this replacement bulb on impulse before reading the reviews. After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned that it would not work in my fixture. There was no reason to be concerned. It worked straight out of the box. The old lamp has a large laminated plate inductor on one side of the (non-polarized) AC input lines. (The inductor is not even encapsulated in potting compound or a metal can. It's just sitting there, bare, in the lamp's base.) Given the issues noted in the reviews associated with using old ballast types, I was not sure if this replacement bulb would work. Well, surprise! It took me less than two minutes to replace it and it worked immediately. It is nice and bright with no flicker. The light comes on immediately. (I still remember the old "hold the switch until the fluorescent bulb stops flickering and then release the switch to turn the light on" routine.) The ballast is in the base of the lamp. I ran the lamp for at least one hour and felt the base to see if it was getting hot. It was only slightly warm, perhaps no more than 40 C, and did not seem to be getting any hotter. So far, I am pleased with my purchase.

Great... if you have the "right" light fixture
Anybody interested in getting this LED bulb replacement for a fluorescent ring tube, really needs to read the product description, especially the part on compatible ballasts. If you don't have one of the compatible ballasts, you might want to look for a different bulb. But let's say you do have a compatible ballast. It turns out you also need the "right kind" of fixture. Reading through many reviews, it seems many users have had problems installing this bulb in fixtures where the 4-pin plug is attached to the fixture. This is because the connector on the bulb does not swivel. You will only have a nice "plug and play" user experience if your fixture has a compatible ballast, and its 4-pin connector lines up perfectly with the connector on the bulb, or if the 4-pin connector is on a cable that you can move around inside the fixture. All that caveat emptor to say that I happen to have the "right kind" of fixture for this LED bulb, so I did get a plug and play experience. I've installed three of these bulbs. The bulb is brighter than the fluorescent bulb it replaced. However, maybe this extra brightness has made the tube more noticeable than the fluorescent tube that was previously there. You can see the ring shape even through the diffuser, as shown in my attached picture. This is not a big deal to me, but I know it may be a dealbreaker for people who use light more for decoration than illumination. Then again, those folks will probably not like the 4100K color temperature or the fact this bulb doesn't support dimmers. To conclude: Yes I recommend this light bulb, but only if you have the "right kind" of light fixture for it, and you happen to want illumination more than decorative lighting.

Works perfectly, very bright. Sometimes has a weird glow when it's turned "off."
I was excited that this works because I am in a rental apartment with Circline fixtures complete with a ballast and, unlike a lot of other brands, I didn't have to do any rewiring or changing ballasts to make this work.I have noticed when the lights are switched off that the bulb glows in the dark. For the life of me I can't figure out whether it is actually drawing power somehow from the switched off light or is just a very shiny material but it's kind of eerie. The only thing I really wish is that Feit or SOMEONE would come out with a smart version of these since these are the only lights I don't have on my Smart Home setup and can't automate.

Plug & Play replacement for circline fluorescent bulb
I have a 20+ year old circline fixture (purchased from Home Depot in 2002) in a closet in which the bulb has been replaced once or twice. When it died last month, I did not have a spare so I went looking. I was surprised to see an LED replacement that claimed to be plug & play with most ballasts. It cost about the same as fluorescent, had more than double the expected lifetime, was brighter (higher lumen rating), and offered free returns, so I didn't have to take a chance to see if it would work (I'd just have a dark closet for a week or so). When it arrived, my husband plugged it in just like any circline bulb and it worked. It's only 2 weeks old, so can't comment on longevity, but it's nice and bright and diffuses the light well.

Works great in my fluorescent ballast fixture
Works great in my fluorescent ballast fixture, same color and brightness as the existing bulbs. Note that the prongs on this are on the side opposite the LED's and not movable, so they are pointed towards the ceiling for me. Worked fine though, there was just enough room to still plug it in.

Works well with the harbor freight Magnifying light
This light is a plug and play if you had a harbor freight magnifying Light it was easy for me to switch and install this the only thing is the protective cover for the light will not go back on because the light is a little bit more fatter and I will not mount on the little brackets to hold the light it will fit over it but it does work on it as you can see in the picture But overall I am satisfied of how bright is it and that’s why I got it for because my old one started getting To go black around the lights and this one is like daylight

Great Light, but poor fit.
The light this lamp provides has great color and brightness and makes no noise during operation.I used this to replace the fluorescent tube in a swing-arm magnifier bench lamp I purchased from Amazon well over a year ago. Unfortunately, the lamp is slightly larger in overall diameter than the fluorescent tube it is made to replace, and the cross-sectional diameter of the "tube" is also slightly larger than the tube it replaced. This prevented the lamp from seating properly into the magnifier head, preventing all of the lamp clamps from being installed, and prevented the clear plastic cover from being properly installed over the LED lamp so only some of the screws could be installed.Nice lamp, but poor fit in my application.
