It’s a necessity
I didn’t realize how much this was needed until I got one. The back straps attached to my factory mirror nice and snug. It mirror has a clear image. Installation is a little more on the difficult side if you want it to look factory and make sure all the wires are completely hidden. Operations is made quite simple and user friendly. The front camera slider locks in place tightly. Only thing is it would be nice to have the option to complete remove the existing mirror and allow for this to attach to the factory mirror mount. Overall this product is built with quality in mind and works great.

I have a 2015 Ford Escape Titanium
I really liked this even though at first it wasn't clear that you had to buy the memory card separate but that was my fault because I didnt delve deeper to the information. Anyone that plans to buy this make sure you get the memory card or the camera will not record. Anyways, this is a strange occurence that I am going to mention now. I assembled this without hardwiring it since my car already had its own back up camera and I just use the back up camera to this just solely to record from behind. I do keep it on when I am at a public parking lot but when I am home I take it out of the cigarett outlet and keep it off so not to drain the battery. Just yesterday I drove my car to dunkin doughnuts with my husband and back home with no trouble and kept my dash cam unplugged. When I tried to turn it on again later that day the vehicle went into a fritz. It started saying transport mode, the battery light was on and the wrench light is on. The dash cam still not plugged it. I got it towed to the Ford dealership that I work at. This vehicle is a push button start so it is heavily reliant on a computer to start. Fast forward to today, the technician believes the dash cam is a potential cause of the battery draining without even being plugged in due to an error code. He is only stating that because he completely dismantled it and that is when the fault code disappeared. He is still diagnosing it as we speak but it brings the question if this dash cam draws power even without being plugged in? Remember I still did not hardwire it and I never attached the red cable to my brake light. So, this is a pretty spooky situation and I am very unhappy with it right now. Almost feel betrayed by it and the car if that is the case. We are leaving it over another night to see if it just need to change the battery but I am a bit afraid to use this camera. I will update my notes if things do change for the better. *Moving on to a couple of days after* My battery needed to be replaced and it was at no fault to the camera. But still keep that in mind when purchasing the camera, if you know your battery is old just unplug it to avoid my situation. It is still a decent camera but I eventually unplugged the rearview camera since I have no use for it anymore. The red cable that a lot of people in this review see is for the brake light so that your camera shows you what is behind you. But I already had a back up camera in the dash so no point for this really. It is still working till this day.

I would buy again
I am happy with it. I do wish the mirror were wider as it doesn't cover my mirror on the right but video quality is good. It's fairly easy to install with the rubber straps. I bought a bracket to attach with "sticky tape" to the back window of my SUV so the wire is visible in the rear but it's acceptable. I like being able to have split screen and see my front and back views at the same time. It's a touch screen which can be challenging. I had to figure out that I had to swipe left or right to change the views from full to split. Duh!

Not worth it unless you are on a budget
I have had this a little over a month and I'm not impressed. I should have spent an extra 50 dollars and got the wolfbox instead. This camera seemed ok when I first installed it then I drove at night and realized how poor quality it was. You can't see behind you if there are other cars on the road at all. It turns their headlights into a bright ball of light and makes even impossible to how far that blob of lights even is until they are directly behind you. Its fine if you only drive in the daylight but between 7am and about 6-7pm (its winter time) this camera is useless to me and actually is past annoying and almost dangerous to use at night. I shouldn't have to unplug and unmount it at night if im driving. I have a wolfbox in my other vehicle and its so much better and the image is so much more crisp and clear and works great at night. Plus wolfbox has an app you can connect to this has nothing. Even though the instructions tell you there is and how to download the app. I found this janky low budget model doesn't work with it. Nope you have to use an SD card and take it out and use an adapter to play on a computer like its 2005. Basically if you are on a super tight budget and don't want any convenience and aren't worried about your safety at night this wouldn't be the worst thing ever. Honestly though just spend a little extra for a wolfbox or another top brand, because in this case I found you get what you pay for....

1 out of 3 stopped working within 4 months
We bought 3 of these for our vehicles.. two have run flawlessly and we are enjoying them.. the one we bought for our Hearse.. stopped working a month and a half ago.. At first it was the rear camera.. that just shows blank now.. Then this week . It powered on and has these weird lines in a grid with two arrows on the side and doesn't even record the front.. the front camera works but there's no time or record or menu option.. all three cars are parked next to each other.. so no reason for heat to affect one over another.. I did however notice when we got the hearse mirror.. That the time was a different size and it may have been an older model but it worked at the time and I was ok with it.. disappointed it stopped working . So giving 3 stars for 66 % approval on this product.. hopefully the other two keep going strong

Not a good product, It hang many times after install, the picture quality of rear view camara is not clear in day time view, and cant focus position using touchscreen like other similar products can do. waste of money.

Firstly, this was purchased with the sole aim of being a permanent digital rear view mirror. In that respect, it is brilliant! The picture is super clear, installation was a breeze and the ability to find tune vertical adjustment to find the happy spot is fantastic. I love it. As a front and rear dash cam, I would be a little bit disappointed. In order for the front camera to get the full field of view, the mirror needs to be perpendicular to the road more or less. This means you get reflection from the passenger window and a little bit of glare. The best view comes from facing the mirror at you directly but the front camera doesn't pivot enough to the right so it gets the front of the vehicle, and a good view of the left-hand side but not the right. As I am purely using rear view mirror mode, this is great and I would happily get another one.
