CarlingPint Glass Toughened Embossed and CE Marked

I've been shopping around for a few decent pint glasses and Carling has always been one of my go-to beers. These caught my eye when I popped into my local pub so I thought I'd buy one for home.The nucleated glass bottom makes a big difference and keeps it fizzy for a good while. I'm also a big fan of the grip because I have a habit of accidentally dropping glasses. If you have a couple of glasses it also makes for easy carrying.All in all it's a great little pint glass for the money

Hi. Like some others have mentioned, there is very little 'nucleation' going on within this glass. It certainly looks like there is...when you hold it up to the light. But the tase of the beer (I used Lomza a very nice & lively Polish beer) goes 'flat' quite soon....like 10 mins!Compared to my favourite (older) Carlsberg nucleated pint glass, this is't good. The 'nucleation' in the Carlsberg glass is very consistant and long lasting...which really improves the taste of whatever beer you are having at the time. Also this Carling pint glass curves inwards towards the top of the glass. Why is that? Most other beer glasses stay straight or curve 'outwards' towards the top. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that beer goes flat quite quickly in this glass.Anyway....In every other way this is a quality glass, but the poor nucleation is a deal-breaker for me. So I won't be buying another one. Thanks.
