My kids love opening a new door every day!
This LEGO Star Wars advent calendar is AWESOME!! Every year, on December 1st, our Elf on the Shelf brings my kids a new advent calendar - and this year, because my boys are SO into Star Wars, this was the perfect one to get them! They LOVE it!! Yesterday was our first day doing it, and they are looking forward to opening a new door today too! When you open the box, it makes a 'platform' when you fold it down, so when you open the doors, you've got a place to set (or play with) that day's Lego surprise. They come in a little plastic bag, and you have to build them to look exactly like the picture behind the door. Each door is perforated, so it's easy to pop open. We've never had issues in the past with other Lego advent calendars with missing pieces, but for some reason, there are always extras in the bags. (Day 1 with this specific advent calendar - we had two extra pieces). Overall, this is SUCH a fun thing to do with our kids! It's something for them to do each day (December 1st - 24th, as there are 24 doors) in anticipation to Santa arriving on the 25th! I will absolutely continue to purchase Lego advent calendars every year because they are SO fun! BEST interactive advent calendar EVER!!!

So much Star Wars Fun!
So much Star Wars fun! This Star Wars advent is daily fun for the month of December. What surprise awaits behind the door each day! The small mini sets and Minifigures can be played with alone or added to current Lego sets. At the end of the season you can also place them back in the holes and do them again next year, in any order you desire. The great quality expected from Lego. And for the love of Star Wars.

Totally love it.
I am a mother of a 6 year old, who loves legos and likes star wars. I was tired of buying advent calender with cheap chocolate that he was okay with. When I showed him this on Dec 1, he was excited. There was a few mess up edges of the box itself and the main cover was tape a bit. But honestly my son didn't care about that. The pieces are small. They are random things on the box. I knew what I was getting from the photo of the figures. What I didn't know until "day 3" was there are directions on how to put together each piece behind the number piece. That really help out a lot. However, if you play with legos with your kids a lot. You can kind of figure out on your own as long you see the finish figure. It does come with maybe two or one extra piece for each item so far. But we haven't need to use them at all so far. The price was way higher, however it was a month before Christmas, they didn't make this one anymore o thier site. So it was high, however what isn't high price at lego. Still going to last year and be build over and over again. Anyway, my son loves it and play with the pieces he made each night. It is alot of fun to do with your children or watch them play. I am totally getting these each year.

Lego + Star Wars = Brilliance
I grew up with the cheap $2 advent calendar version consisting of waxy chocolate under flimsy doors. I am so jealous of kids these days who have many more options opening to them - but the Lego Advent Calendar is especially a treat! First off, you avoid refined sugar. Happy about that. You have something you can collect each year! Happy about that. You have something you can tailor to a specific child...more or less. Happy about that! I bought this for my 10 year old son. He has been collecting the Star Wars Advent Calendar for 4 years now and loves them. Some of the mini-figs are unique to the year, so he can't miss each year. This is a dream come true for a Lego, Star Wars, and Christmas fan! It came properly secured, and now we just stare at it on the mantel in anticipation for December.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm a Star Wars fan and long time collector of Star Wars Legos, including the yearly Advent Calendar. I was disappointed enough with this year's set that I'm actually docking one star. 5 of the 24 days aren't Star Wars recognizable in any way. They are merely little stands that hold another day's character's weapons, or something that in some way supports another day's character. For example: Day 6 is a little stand that holds a laser gun and bow/arrow (like from a robin hood set or something). Day 7 is a....shrubbery of some sort that literally does nothing. Really, I'm not kidding. Day 8 is an Ewok. Awesome. Day 9 is a catapult. Day 12 is a glorified gun rack for Day 10's Stormtrooper. Day 21 is a console that holds a laser gun for Day 17's Hoth Rebel Soldier. Those five day's toys are sad fillers in my opinion. The other 19 days are great, including assassin droid IG-88. Another plus that kept me from docking another star is that these are all Original Trilogy toys. I personally appreciate that: nothing from the prequels and no spoilers from the new movie coming out this December. Here are all the days and their descriptions: Day 1: Jabba's Sail Barge on a clear stand Day 2: Sarlaac creature Day 3: Black Imperial-looking droid (as of this typing I do not recognize it) Day 4: Jawa (figure) Day 5: Jawa Sandcrawler Day 6: Stand holding a laser gun and bow/arrow (assuming goes with Day 8's Ewok) Day 7: Ummmm...I have no idea what it is. Almost looks like a tree stand for Day 8's Ewok, except the Ewok can't fit on or under it, and this thing literally does nothing. Day 8: Ewok (figure) Day 9: Little catapult (assuming goes with Day 8's Ewok) Day 10: Stormtrooper (figure) Day 11: Star Destroyer (unsure whether Victory Class or Imperial Class, definitely not Super Class) Day 12: Gun Rack holding Blaster Rifle, Blaster Pistol, and short Blaster Pistol (assuming goes with Day 10's Stormtrooper) Day 13: IG-88 (figure) Day 14: Millenium Falcoln Day 15: Double Laser Turret, like those guarding the Death Star trench run (cleverly shoots projectiles, comes with extra ammo) Day 16: A-Wing Day 17: Hoth Rebel Soldier Day 18: AT-AT Day 19: Ion Cannon, like the one guarding the Rebel base on Hoth Day 20: Imperial Probe Droid on a clear stand Day 21: Console holding laser gun (asuming goes with Day 17's Hoth Rebel Soldier). This laser gun cleverly fires projectiles and comes with extra ammo Day 22: R2D2 (figure) with antlers Day 23: Repulsor Sled (for Day 24...) Day 24: C3PO (figure) with santa coat, santa beard/mustache, and red bag

Well worth the money
I bought this for my kids one 11 (girl) and the other (boy) 3 years old. I thought it would be something fun and different from the standard advent calendar. I was right, it was fun for the kids. First thing in the morning they'd get to work opening a door and assembling a figure. Yes it's Star Wars and so the price is slightly higher than other Lego advent calendars, but hey it's Star Wars so there's a reason for the price. Each door revealed something different, like well known characters, functioning cannon or catapults and even ships. Like I said, they and I, to be honest, really enjoyed this calendar. Given the price and the number of figures you get it's well worth it, if you consider how much you'd pay for each by themselves.

So cute and fun!
My kids are seven and five and they are absolutely obsessed with all things Lego and Star Wars! They could not wait to get up every morning and open those little doors! It was a great alternative to the chocolate advent calendars. I noticed some reviews saying that it was priced high but we payed the same amount that they were selling them for in the Lego store. I guess we got lucky.

May the Holiday Force be with you!
I usually buy the Lego City Advent Calendar each year, but this time I decided to try the Star Wars version. As usual there are lots of fun mini-models to assemble and place on the box's play area, including a C3PO holiday minifigure. Whether you buy the City , Friends , or Star Wars version of the advent calendar set, you'll have fun counting down the days in December all the way to Christmas! This is the 2015 model from Lego---they release new advent calendars every year---but it's simply designated for days 1-24 so you could use any of the sets from year to year. To re-use the calendar, make sure you carefully pop open the perforated windows so you'll be able to re-close them for next time. And be careful opening the box initially: the lid folds down to create a backdrop for setting up all the little models as you build each day.

Collectible buy early
Order early, these Lego Advent Calendar are highly sought after collectibles. If you leave it late, you may find yourself ordering at mark-up through a 3rd party so as not to disappoint your little Lego Star Wars fan. The quality is good and the beauty is you get a lot of mini-figures without having to buy big expensive theme sets just to get them.
