My wife prides herself on being ‘low maintenance.’ She got this brush so she could quickly and easily style her hair while drying it at the same time. This brush did just that! She has long hair and other brushes tend to get stuck in her hair or make her hair frizzy. This brush moved smoothly through her hair to make a nice curl at the end. It also gave her hair nice body. This brush arrived in a sturdy box so none of the bristles were bent or damaged. I enjoy writing quality reviews. So, here are the details on my hair, I have mousy, thin dark blonde hair. It is really soft and wavy. This make it very hard my to get my volume to stay, even with mousse and hair spray. I have a round bristle brush that I have had for a decade and it has just been replaced as my go-to brush with this Xtava. The more I try this brand, the more I love it! Using the double clips they have, I divided my hair into 4 sections and dried my hair working my way up the scalp. In the end, I had amazing volume. At the time, I used Brocato Mousse and finished it off with their spray. Compared to my other brush which was roughly the same diameter, the xtava brush left a much better impression on me.

I bought this after reading rave reviews in a bustle article. I was very excited about the idea of having a brush that worked as a round brush, detangleing brush and boar bristle brush all in one, but I hated it! The combo just didn’t work for me. The detangling bristles were sharp and uncomfortable, and they dug into my head painfully making me give up on the idea of using this brush. They also stuck out far enough that they interfered with the functionality of the boar bristles themselves.

I rarely am utterly disappointed by a purchase via Amazon, but the two brushes I purchased are not at all what I expected. The description by the photo only mentioned BOAR bristles.The two brushes I purchased have very sharp, firm NYLON (?) bristles which stick out much further than the boar bristles, thus rendering them unusable for my hair.I should have read the third paragraph of the detailed specs, but I did NOT expect it to contradict the description by the product photo.I will not only read specifications more carefully, but I will not trust descriptions provided by photos. I will be a much more cautious Amazon customer.

xtava is really an amazing company with great products! This is not the first xtavia product I own, and I will gladly refer family and friends to this wonderful brand.The product is of high quality, comparable to professional salon tools. Let's start off with packaging, the design is sleek, easy to open, great for gifting. The product is well packaged so that very little chance of damages can occur. Now, on to the brush itself. My new favorite brush! I have frizzy hair and have always used a hair straightener. Now, I use this brush to help ease the frizz and save my hair from the heat damaging results. Definitely calms my frizzy hair and leaves it with a nice sheen. The brush is not heavy and easy to maneuver. It is easy on the hands and wrist and the little hole at the end helps hold the brush on a command hook tucked away.

I would not recommend this brush, there is not need to spend so much money in a brush that has no difference in performance, and in quality as a store bought brush. My hair looks and comes looking the same as when I use a cheaper brush, and the brittles of this brush are all over the floor when am blow drying my hair, I have not seen as many brittles coming off of a brush like this before. Not worth it.

I hesitated to buy this because reviews for fine hair were not favorable and many people thought the 44mm brush was too large. I have baby fine shoulder length hair and this brush works beautifully for me. The size is perfect. I have other expensive brushes that are larger and many smaller. Some reviews stated you couldn't get a nice curl with this and I disagree. The curl for my shoulder length hair is not as defined as I get with my smaller brushes but it looks very pretty. I would guess if you want more curl, go to the 33mm. The best part of this brush is its ability to grasp all of my baby fine hair. For the first time ever, I am able to make the back of my hair as beautiful as the sides and top as it holds onto the hair long enough for me to blow it dry. Normally, my hair slips from the brush as soon as I go to blow out each section. and after several attempts I give up and let the hair in the back be limp. This has changed that for me! It grips and I mean really well; others stated that it tangles the hair, I don't find that to be true, it just holds it for the entire time you have it on the brush allowing the hair to become fully dry from the roots right to the ends. I love this brush! My hair is soft, shiny and full of volume. I am very happy with this purchase!

Yay I love my brush! I have the 44mm. The previous round brush I had belonged to my mom from the 70s/80s and it was in pretty bad shape now. This brush is super easy to use with my hair dryer, lightweight, doesn’t really collect too much of that mysterious debris that collects in brushes as far as I’ve noticed so it isn’t dirty at all. The description says it is for short to medium length hair but I have hair as long as down past my bellybutton and I still have a great time using this. Still adds volume to the roots and I like the way I can curl my ends in with it. Works well! I recommend!
