These are different than for the supermarket. These are almost perfect for flowers but ideal for businesspeople and lawyers. The depth is only 3" not good for my near by American supermarkets

Excellent quality but half the size of a regular mercado bag.

Mexican shopping bags or "bolsas" are getting harder and harder to find. Recently I was in a huge mercado in San Antonio, TX and the only ones I could find were really made for the tourists; the kind of bags with Frida, Dia de Los Muertos, etc. printed on them. Not only were they smaller than the ones I am used to, but they were relatively expensive.These are quite lovely and VERY well made, however they too are smaller than what I was hoping. I saw "large" and didn't read the dimensions. This company offers a larger size and that's what I will order next time.These bolsas are all I use to take to the grocery store, or any other store for that matter. They are sturdy beyond belief, they look cool AND I don't end up with tons of landfill-bound flimsy plastic bags. For the uninitiated, you will be AMAZED at how much can be safely crammed into one of these bags, which is why Mexican ladies have been using them for decades. And, they fold up for easy storage in the back of the car.The other thing that makes them more functional is that if anything leaks or spills in them, no need to wash them...simply hose them off.Next time, I will order the larger size from this company. No worry about these though; they will get put to use as well.

They appear quite strong and durable. Next will be to try the larger size.
