We were replacing a different keyless lock on our camper so I'm not sure how hard it is to install if you didn't have one previously. For us, it fit the spot and we just had to make a few adjustments on the door frame to make it lock correctly. But let me tell you, being able to unlock the door with a key fob when you're carrying groceries or all your stuff after a day on the boat is PRICELESS. So easy to use, and appreciate the second manual lock for double security when you need it. So glad we bought this one.

I like the heavy construction and the key fobs.I did have to modify the door opening. Using a Dremel tool and a triangle file made the task easy enough. Programming was ok with the instructions. Don't use the youtube method pressing 8 and lock simultaneously. At least on this model. Used all of the parts that came with it. Used the extra seal after removing the one on the unit. Whole thing took a couple of hours. Quality product.

I got this one because it was on sale and was all metal. Well it actually isn't all metal, the inside handle is plastic, unlike the stock door latch. It all feels solid except for the moving parts like the handle and the lock mechanism, which are loose and rattle around. The inside handle just barely interferes with my screen door, which is annoying. It's really convenient not having to carry my key though, and knowing that not everyone at the campground could get into my trailer with their standard key.

About two years ago I bought a Carmtek Keyless entry door lock for my travel trailer. About a month ago I contact Carmtek by email because I needed to replace the keypad membrane. Immediately Alex P, Customer Care Team, answered telling me they were not selling it but that he will contact the manufacturer and they will send the keypad membrane to my address. It would take 15 to 20 days for me to receive it. During and after I received the keypad membrane Alex P. kept in touch with me. Congratulations to Carmtek because if Alex P. is an example of your Customer Care Team, it's a great team. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and cordial. Thanks for all your help!!

We've now had our on for about a month now. I do like it and I like not having to use a key or worry about one, but I will say that, the key fobs died already. The other one that isn't being used much is dead too, so not sure why they died so quickly.I did have to modify the hole in my door, even though it was the correct size; the issue is, the rv manufacture had left a little lip that wouldn't allow me to close the lock.We also found that the mounting plate on the door, should be set all the way forward, for ease of closing the door.I'm glad they gave us extra key pads, but I wish they wouldn't dry out and crack. Maybe should have found a brand that had rubber keys instead of stickers; you'd think for the price the key pad would last longer.All in all I do like it, we are keeping for now.

My hubby and I installed this in our 2022 Grand Designs 226RK. Of all our new parts, this keyless lock is by far our favorite! The convenient ways to lock/unlock the door is invaluable. We programmed the key remotes with no problems, but even though they work beautifully we both prefer to use the code. Get this one, it's definitely worth it for safety and convenience.

Works great. Key fobs work but I never use them. Had it about 2 months. The lock lever inside feels cheap and has play in it. But it works. Love it so far.
