A great resort jacket
I'm super satisfied with this jacket. It really is a great resort jacket for skiing. I wore a single merino wool underlay and this jacket and was perfectly warm during a recent week + skiing in Colorado. Temperatures ranged from 10-32 and the jacket was great throughout. It blocked wind on the lifts, was comfortable to move in and kept me toasty through out the day. The range of pockets in the jacket is nice - I didn't pick up these from the original description, but there's a RFID pass holder in the sleeve, a goggle wiper built in, and a decent internal pocket that I kept a small drink bottle and hat in. I did lose the drink bottle once while fixing my boots, so I would prefer if that pocket was a little better in keeping contents locked in place but a minor issue. I read the reviews stating this may simply be too warm a jacket if you wanted to go ski touring - I would tend to agree as it is super warm and can see how you might not want this much warmth when hiking/skiing up a hill. But it does have ventilation zips to help out. I also tried the Alpha 3.0 on, and might recommend for a lighter, more relaxed feel, but this just wouldn't have provided the same level of warmth as the LIFTALOFT I bought. Recommended if you need a good ski jacket for the colder months.

Great Jacket
Great jacket - did a ton of research. This is warm and is a great waterproof shell as well. I used to have to layer an Arcteryx shell with an Arcteryx light down but not with this Helly. I use it on the slopes and everyday winter wear walking the dog.

Outstanding jacket snd
I have skied in this jacket in tough conditions. It is warm and moves with you well. Great design and great Norwegian quality. Also a very good value for the quality you get.

Love this coat!
Warm, flexible, comfortable with versatile storage. Thermal performance for the weight is excellent. I love the removable hood. In foul weather, it covers my helmet and face, keeping out the wind and snow. My only criticism is that it seems to absorb more water than I would expect from a truly water proof coat. By the end of a wet snow day, the sleaves and shoulders are pretty saturated.

Get the LifaLoft!
I really like this jacket. I previously tried the regular Alpha (non-LifaLoft) and found it bulkier. This version delivers the same warmth with noticeably less bulk. The lighter feel makes it more comfortable, easier to move in, and better looking, while still providing excellent insulation. It’s worth paying extra for the LifaLoft upgrade! Same warmth, better comfort, and a sleeker fit. Highly recommended if you’re deciding between the two.

Sizing recommendation
Just purchased, so haven’t used yet. Accordingly, I am giving five stars at this point based solely on look and feel. Writing this review really to weigh in on sizing recommendation. As some others have noted, the jacket definitely has a more slim fit, and runs slightly smaller, than a regular ski jacket. I am 5’ 10” tall and weight 170-172. I typically would have ordered a medium but, based on other reviews and the manufacturer size guide, went with a large instead. Definitely the right call. Tried it on with base layers I typically would use (one thin and one midweight), and fit very well, including sleeve length; I suspect medium would have been too snug. The jacket also includes drawstrings at the bottom to further tighten the fit if desired.

Comodidad y calidad aunque por el precio no esperaba menos. Me parece algo cara.

My regular size is a medium but this was too tight, so I needed a size large and this fitted perfectly. Great coat though. Very warm, protects against the wind and rain. Exactly what I needed.
