ParkerFrontier Matte Black GT Fountain Pen - Fine Nib

I was wary because the other reviews indicated that the nib would be scratchy. In my experience, the pen writes very smoothly for the most part with minimal skipping. The aesthetic is top tier for me as I really like the contrast between the gold trim and the matte black. I write small so I prefer a fine nib and I've had no issues to that end. It's my daily driver at this point and it was well worth the relatively low price.

Email and texting have their place but a hand written note or letter is much more personal. The Parker Frontier Fountain Pen will get that done for you. This pen is a superb value. It performs as well as other pens that cost 4 times as much. It has a great feel in your hand and it flows across the paper bringing out your finest penmanship. The fine nib seems to be more on the medium side but it will adequately bring out your unique hand writing style. My fellow Americans, put down your phone ! Step away from your computers ! Ditch Microsoft Word and Apple Pages ! Come back to pen and paper to express your deepest thoughts to those that matter most to you !

No way this pen is sold by the actual Parker company, of if it is, they're selling seconds and irregulars on this site. The tines are not cut straight down the center, they're way off, the polishing is such that it barely writes, the converter has no friction on the gasket so it doesn't pull ink, i ended up having o use my own converter. At this pricepoint, I would expect at least the same value and performance as a Pilot Metropolitan, but this Parker is not even close to a chinese clone. I recommend buying name brand fountain pens or other similar items from the actual manufacturers, because you clearly can't know what to expect with these sellers, even if they use the name brand in their store.

However, they charge shipping, so order only if you are sure after this review,even if they offer return, no point in doing so while paying both ways shipping.Now the product.Cons:--------- Not good nib, Very scratchy.- First, it had tough time starting the ink flow, so be patient. I had to soak it well before it started writing continuously.- Did I mention it is scratchy? Very scratchy.- Nib point I ordered is supposed to be fine, the product said it is fine point nib on the package (sealed),however it writes as thick as my other Medium point pens.- And did I say it is scratchy? If you are advance level user you may be able to correct the scratchiness, but you might make the point even thicker or ruin your nib.- Might feel slightly cheap plastic and less artistic Feed & Nib.Pros:-------- Perfect Body, finish, weight, grip, all as I would really want from this pen.- I am imagining that if it did not scratch on paper, I could write for hours with this one.- No sudden contour changes, allows you to grip from anywhere.- Ink flow is also very good, not too dry, not too wet, just perfect.

The finish is great. It is not too flashy, but people notice when you use it. The pen is light and writes brilliantly. Also, the cap posts perfectly, something that is increasingly difficult to find in many fountain pens today. The only issue is the cartridge uses a sliding device to draw the ink into the pen, and it is not my favorite feature. It can sometimes stick when trying to adjust the ink. Beware: too much pressure causes the ink to shoot out of the feed. If you're careful, you only make that mistake once:) Overall, I love the pen and the quality of the flow and design.
