My Water Tastes Delicious!
Installation was easy and the water tastes noticeably better. It’s a bit pricey but worth it for the peace of mind. Works perfectly with our KitchenAid fridge model.

Value for money.
Worked great in my fridge. Im so happy Amaxon sells these or I don't know where I would get a replacement.

Expensive but works
Nice quality, not the easiest filter to replace because it's located at the bottom, filters well and water tastes good. Expensive.

Fits Frigidaire and easy to install.

Overpriced, but they never get stuck in the housing - which has cost me $$$ with cheaper ones.
Overpriced, but they do not get bound up in the filter housing.

Same one!!
So, I was down to my last filter and overdue for a filter change. Amazon offered a ‘home improvement purchase’ credit and I set out to find my replacement here as opposed to another online vendor I’d been using for the 14 years my side-by-side has been alive. As I always start with the 1-star reviews while shopping, and after reading those and Amazon customers’ comments, I hesitated in buying this filter from Amazon. Perhaps the warnings were right (change in size; change in end prongs; change of color to purple being the bad ones; plastic taste, etc.). I thought: ‘Maybe the transition from Kenmore to Whirlpool to Pur to Every Drop over the span of 14 years has caused a compatibility issue with my older fridge and it will be risky to buy from somewhere different after all’. Then I remembered that Amazon’s returns aren’t too difficult, so I gave it a shot.I recalled reading in the gripes: people had bought this filter, waited several months to attempt to change their filter, discovered there was a problem with the new one only after the period for returns; winding up out $45 bucks. Several suggested trying this new one immediately just in case you ran into any issues, you’d still be able to send it back. Sage advice to keep my spare — that I KNOW will work — as a spare!New filter arrived yesterday. It was white like the one pictured. Water is odorless and clear. No weird taste. The size and prongs were identical to the filter being replaced. The only differences I noticed were: slightly faster flow and a loud clicking/banging sound upon installation which had NEVER happened with the previous 20 filter changes.Hoping this helps someone else who, like me, has an older-model fridge and reads too many 1-star reviews.

Great OEM filter replacement
Filter was another easy replacement. Works as it should and no issues. The price varies daily it seems, so trying to catch it at the low end is a bit of a challenge.

EveryDrop filter good replacement for discontinued blue filters
Edit 6/4/18: Just installed my second one of these filters with similar results as they first. Fill rate is very consistent with the first filter and the old blue ones. No noticeable odor or taste issues. I will continue ordering these every 6 months until i have an issue.Original review: I finally gave up trying to find the old blue filters and ordered one of these EveryDrop filters. I had concerns about the taste and fill rate issues that other people mentioned in their reviews. I'm happy to report that I have had no issues and the filter works just like the old blue one or better. Here is some additional info for others who might have the same concerns. My old filter was the fast fill type. On the label it was rated at 0.5 gallons per minute (GPM). The new filter does not say fast fill but is also rated at 0.5 GPM. To test how they compared, I filled a 2 liter bottle that I had available before I removed the old filter. The 2 times I filled it took 1:04 and 1.03 respectively. I installed the new filter and timed it from the very first button push. The water looked clear from the very beginning and had no smell that I could notice. The first fill took 1:24 and there was some sputtering as air was purged out of the system. But by the end of filling the 2 liter the first time I could tell the flow was better. The second fill had a little bit of sputtering and it took 1:11. After that, the times were all between 1:03 and 1:05 with no air. The old filters had air pockets much longer than this one did. The packaging recommends flushing 4 to 5 gallons through the filter before use so I filled the 2 liter 8 times which is just over 4 gallons. I then left it alone for about 30 minutes to make sure the filter was filled and saturated. I filled the bottle 2 more times to flush any remaining stuff out. My first glass of water was clear and tasted good. I can now recommend these filters to replace the old blue ones. I highly recommend doing the full flush process before using the water to drink or for ice.
