Accurate While Motionless
Felt compelled to write a novella review here since I feel conflicted about this product. It has great fit and finish, vibrant display. Unfortunately you have to remain completely motionless for the heart rate and blood pressure measurements, otherwise numbers will be very high. So there's no chance of getting accurate measurements while active - tighten up the band all you want. Being as this is marketed as an "activity band," it fails here.Even for resting measurements you must remain Very Still.Riding in a car or on bike with your arm resting will still give artificially high readings if on anything but the smoothest surfaces.I was hoping for a product that I could wear while exercising but the data this watch generates during movement is so bad that I just take it off during my runs or workouts and use it for the sleep tracker and occasional RHR or BP.Despite all these shortcomings I will probably keep the watch because its extreme sensitivity to motion makes the Sleep tracker function very useful for me; eg, when it says i'm in deep sleep and my BP continuous measurement shows a straight line of approx 110/65 then I know I'm really out cold and not moving at all. And since I wanted to know if I suffer from sleep apnea this has helped me see that I probably don't - at least not yet.On the topic of "continuous measurement" which this product claims to offer, be aware that it's not truly continuous; it's once every 10min for BP and once per 30min for HR. Likely a design decision between function and battery life -ok.It does have good battery life, will go a couple days for me without recharge. But this failure to do true continuous measurement makes it even less useful for activity monitoring - assuming it could take a good measurement for that. I would settle for a couple hrs less battery life if it did true continuous measurement.Having said all that I do realize there's a price point advantage with this item and you get what you pay for. I just expected it to at least do what was advertised.A final note on the software: for the heart rate measurement it appears to start each measurement with a seed value of 72 bpm and then average in the real measurements after that. While you can personalize, I don't see where this can be changed. And it reinserts another 72bpm value if it gets jostled or moved. My resting HR is between 48 and 52 BPM and this high seed value is very evident - each manual measurement starts at 72bpm and then coasts down as it averages in my real HR. If I twitch my wrist just a tiny bit during a measurement the reading pops right back to 72 and re-averages back down again. Not coincidence and not real data.Anyways for $50ish it's an ok sleep tracker if you want to know whether you have obstructive breathing at night and, admittedly, it is Very Good at motionless measurements. So if you are sick or worried about BP then it seems to be an inexpensive yet accurate tool for monitoring if you're laid up and recovering(?) - obligatory I Am Not A Doctor here.I've tried similar products at the $20 and $30 price points and this is clearly nicer.Maybe a Garmin or similar is needed for accuracy during activity.

Very nice and very functional.
As a Ticwatch E2 owner I wanted a watch that would offer BP monitor, multiple sports, and info notifications beyond just SMS and phone. So I ordered this watch to test out but still skeptical. I am actually surprised and impressed so far after 2 days. The watch looks like ticwatch and very readable. Brightness control is on the watch and I can read it in sunlight. HR is on par with a chest strap and BP is +- 7 off from actual BP machines. Notifications are abundant and based on what apps you have on the phone and work as expected including my companys outlook email and Skype notifications. The watch is not difficult to navigate with interactive screen. It did monitor sleep as expected automatically. Calorie count doesn't take into account calories burned which is 50 calories per hour average but that's ok I can live with it.. I have not tried sports yet as I cycle both road and spinning. When it says auto HR and BP it does do that. BP is like 10 min intervals and HR is 30 min. All data uploaded to the HBand app and you can eith use it with or without and account. It's also water proof to a degree and can swim with it.Battery life seems really good so far compared to ticwatch and Samsung watches that need to be charged every 1 or 2 days.HBand app can be quircky at times especially it keeps saying that there is no internet connection trying to login to my account. They could add tap to wake the screen as an option that would be nice.Over all this watch seems to do exactly what I wanted in a watch and for money it's a keeper so far, but time will tell.

Good product with some not insignificant flaws
Update:It is working fine. But battery life is relatively short, may be two days at best.Original review:This is my second "smart" watch; and I have plenty of regular watches at various price points. My first smart watch was really cheap just to test water; it died just less than 12 months and reason for buying a second one. I still didn't want to spend much because there are so many choices with very reasonable set of functionalities. One thing that this watch does stand out is blood pressure monitoring. It seems to be quite accurate and I like the fact that it is constantly monitoring blood pressure as well as heart beats.I searched quite thoroughly on available choices. I quickly ruled out skinny or rectangular ones. I prefer the option to have analog appearance. So I really like this one, especially in comparison to the first one. The display is big enough and bright with all relevant information. In terms of usage, there is practically no learning curve. Within minutes, I was able to use all of the functions. Connection to my phone was straightforward. It has all of the sport modes I need and easy to use it. Absolutely no complaint here. While I like the watch, I am less impressed with the App. It has more functions than my previous one, but it is not as intuitive as either the previous one or the watch itself. I have not yet used the hike tracking feature, so will come later to report on that.Update:The App is really useless. The App for my previous smart watch reports details of my workout. If I was hiking, it reported the entire track. The heart rate trace for the workout, which is very useful.Another disappointment I discovered is that the stationary bike mode did not work at all. I was on one for an hour, it did not report anything at all.
